the fog and the wicker man should be left well alone they're classic cult movies....war of the worlds could be good although it would be the third one(ie 2nd re-make)the first WOTW was set in london and filmed in B&W the 2nd one was set in the states(filmed in technicolour)and was crap with a capital C

I hope you don't mean the texas chainsaw massacre was one of the bad one's because it is much better than the old one.

I have the exact same thoughts about "the Honeymooners" and the Pink Panther.
There was only one Peter Sellers, and only one Jackie Gleason---and anything secondary is just that SECOND!!!

Hasn't there already been about 3 King Kong remakes?? I mean, how many times do we have to watch the monkey die???
Though, in this day, with the new effects possible--I am withholding final judgement on that one till I actually see it.

Agreed. Way too many remakes lately. The best movies these days have nothing to do with Hollywood. Many reviewers say that the major studios peaked in the 70s and it has been downhill from there. As The Warriors were filmed then, as many of my favorites, I happen to agree with them. These days you have to look at independent film for any originality.

That's why I gotta luv ya, Ranchgal (in a totally cool fellow Warrior kind of way, not a wierd creepy internet stalker kind of way  )

We certainly think alike. The big buzz on the King Kong remake is that Peter Jackson's directing it. Big whoopdie doo!!!!!!! No surprise that he's doing another movie based on someone else's masterpiece so then after it comes out Hollywood and all the fanboys gan get on thier knees in front of him.

If this travesty wins the oscar for best effects over Star Wars, I'll have to shotgun the TV

LOL---please get some of those sticky soft nerf dart guns---it is much cheaper than the real thing!!

Either that or foam bricks work really good too!

Hate to have you shopping for a new tv.

Titanic with leo di caprio is a remake. As is the night of the living dead 1990 and those two are way better then the originals. well night of the living dead 1990 only just beats the original. Some remakes are better but they are usually only better if you havent seen the original. im sure millions of people will like war of the worlds and im sure only a very small percentage of those will have seen the original from 1950's.
