There appears to be a new spark of activity regarding Tony Scott's new Warriors film. The listed release date on IMDb has been changed from 2006 to 2008. (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0423512/)

The date had been sitting at 2006 ever since the original announcement in 2005, but if it's been changed by the filmmakers it could mean that things are either getting back on track and the release date has been recalculated, or they just puished the date ahead to give themselves more time to get their act together and figure out what they're going to do.

thats cool, maybee its because tony scott has a new movie comeing out this year, I forgett what its called.

thats good. i dont want it to come out. maybe it will be shelved to 2056.

maybe it will be better with more time to work on it. I actually want to see it though, see how times have changed for gang life.

Maybe they should wait until 2009 for the 30th anniversary?

I wonder of they would have some of the old warriors in the new movie. Like when there doing
a drive by or something like that. They'll show swan and mercy walking and watching them with swan saying "Much has changed since i rember, to bad cycuris isn here..new york would of been ours"
Or something like this Having ajax still in jail and in the part a acter from the new verison is in jail with
ajax next to him saying "Look at you..you need a gun to finish those wimps,"

Pushed to 2008...? Forget about it then, i think i wont go see it after all. I was looking forward to go see it in theathers this year.

Well, I am in no rush to see this remake like many of you, but hopefully, this delay will give Scott more time to do his remake properly.

i've been waiting forever to see this remake....
i woudn't be surprised if they just didn't make it
they have taken long enough already

Look, as much as a lot of you are complainin, you know as well as me that you will go see the movie. As much as we are hearing about how they are gonna change the movie, and this & that, I think we are all curious. The bottom line is, if you are even on this site, you are a fan of The Warriors, and you wanna see just as bad as me, what exactly is gonna be goin on in this new movie. So why don't we all stop complaining, and saying how we don't even wanna see the movie anymore, and saying we hope it never comes out  and just hold our collective breaths til it comes out. Then you will have a whole new set of things to complain about from the new movie. Remember, it's Hollywood, people.  I mean, it's only really been what, a year or two since we even heard about this new movie. Hell, they were talkin about a Resident Evil movie right after the second game came out (somewhere around 98,99 if I'm not mistaken) and the movie didnt actually come out til years later. Rocky Balboa, Live Free or Die Hard, hell, even X-Men & Spider Man took forever. My point is, pushing movies back is nothing new, and nothing to be upset about. If we are all just patient, maybe all of this extra time they are taking will make the "2008" version that much better...at least I hope so.

Yes its not going to ruin the warriors legacy hopefully it never comes out.
