Hopefully the remake isn't full of bullet-time crap. I don't think they'll stick to the 70's theme.

But when it does come out, the origional will probably be re-released with special features and all that.

I am waiting for a double pack of the warriors and its remake, because the warriors DVD's in Australia all have the same fault. You cannot watch the THEATRICAL TRAILER and when the CREDITS roll, the DVD starts to skip and locks up! :x anyone else in Australia have the same trouble?

Id love to know what the actors are doing now. I know some of them are pretty famous now, but the others, like Cleon and Cowboy, where are they???

Tony Scott should take a leaf out of Walter Hills book and cast a bunch of unknowns. The bigger the star, the more money from the budget you'll have to pay them. I would like to see the Japanese tackle a remake. They have the gang culture, the baseball culture and the subway trains so it could be possible. Whatever happened to the Wesley Snipes biker film that was loosley based on the warriors? I think the pre-production title was "The road is long"

Oh yeah theres a Bronx Warriors 2 also. I'd say that's pretty bad too. And I think theres a gang movie called the New Barbarians or something.

That one is brutal, the fight scenes are nasty, people are fighting in the streets with cleavers, knives, whatever is around. The violence is pretty graphic, more so than The Warriors.

There are not too many "gang films" I know of, but there have been some good ones that involve gangs: "Boyz n The Hood", "Colors", nothing I know of that comes close to the storyline of The Warriors.

adios,

Gangs of Mew York was crap. The Irish people fighting on the streets had a Tiger-claw-ninja-woman with them! So crap.

Speaking of "where are they now", Terry Michos, who played Vermin is not only a news director but is also a lecturer in communications at Marist College in New York. From what I have heard he holds a master's degree in public administration.
