Remake Storyline?

Should this "remake" or maybe sequel, i dont know, but anyway, should this remake have a new storyline because in the original warriors movie, the storyline was okay, but it needed a bit more gangs and a bit more fights. For Example, in The Warriors video game, there are alot more gangs and alot more fights.(there are even missions showing how the warriors were formed.) The Remake should be about all the gangs in NYC to be at war with each other, and some gangs should have their same war chiefs as the game. ex. Chatterbox - leader of Hi-Hats. Will this be a good storyline?
