I think the new movie should be made in Australia.

thats really random. why Australia? please elaborate.

Im from Australia and theres no way it should done here, it should  be New York and no were else

I think the Subway played a big part in the movie. That would be hard to recreate in some other form in a remake.
I would say NYC

i think none can replace the nyc type of theme

lol Austrilia is a good place but it would never work out its like saying lets put the tellietubbies movie in
Los Angeles it would be HORRIBLE

The nearest ive seen to a warriors type flick set in australia, was Aussie park boyz.  It "borrowed" some elements from the warriors.  I wouldn't recommend this film to anyone.

If a warriors remake HAD to be set in a different country, i'd opt for Japan.  It has a history of gang culture, train system and baseball.  The warriors cartoonish gangs would fit in well with japanese cult for outlandish outfits.

i hate to say it cause i think the warriors re-make should be made in nyc, but approx 6 months ago a bunch of skate kids in my local are here in australia we cast as extras to skate in the background during filming for the new warriors movie.

honestly i was bummed when i heard this and couldn't even bring myself to be stoked for the kids.

so ur telling me the new warriors movie is being filmed in austrilia and not Los Angeles

i have no idea of the facts or locations of the filming sets- but definately one particular scene was done here in oz.

I don't think the movie should be shot anywhere.  But the fact is, it will be shot here in the U.S.

Slightly related to topic; Tony Scott is busy murdering another New York classic: Taking of Pelham 123.  The extremly lame poster was released online today.  It doesn't give me much hope for his warriors remake.  Its days like this that make me ashamed to be english.

is this guy just going to remake every decent new york street film? these people should get a life making their own films and stop ruining classics
what is the point of remaking films anyway?

Some films just can not be remade and 'The Warriors' is one of them, you will never recreate that NYC 70's look and feel of the original movie. From what I can tell though they realise this and are gonna make it totally different, the best way then we wont all make comparisons.
