The girl warrior

I'm all for the idea of a female Warrior as long as she'd be just a Warrior and not one of the nine delegates. The Warriors are fine as they are and I'd be a bit disappointed if they replaced one of them with a female for no reason.

Acctually, I think there are some warrior chicks. Listen to the script. When the begining credits roll, you see vermin say to ajax "There are tones of girls back home." sooo, there acctually might be female warriors.

Maybe it could be just better if Mercy/or the girl that will play her,actually belonged to the gang and helped out more,so you could see her regularly in the film,for those who are looking for a woman warrior.

I would actually like the idea of a female warrior. It would be interesting tosee how other gang members react to her.

heroine's have never worked for me in movies.

there are 3 types see, one's the "classic female" a pathetic, weak minded and extrememly irritating heroine, who slows the main characters down(the character of barbara in night of the living dead a good example).

then there's the "tough chick"(that being a michelle rodriguez character etc.), who is embarrassing to watch, because her toughness just doesnt work.

and finally the "love interest"(there are too many example's!!), who ruin the movie completely by flirting with the main character and getting off with with him at the end, they make the film predictable.

i'm not sexist, but this is what women are like in these type of movies, they never work. they ruin movies. that is why there should be no girl warrior. besides, there are girl gangs for this sort of thing.

I am a girl and even I don't think it could work. Has anyone ever honestly liked GI Jane??? The answer is no. Mercy slowed down the Warriors enoghf. Just look what happened with the actor who played The Fox. He walked off and and got "killed" because he was suppossed to be with Mercy in the movie. That was just a movie and look what happened with Mercy in the movie. Can you imagen if it were in real life? I agree with what was said before. If you'r a girl who want's to be in a gang join the Lizzes. You could always join up with the Punks or some other gang for some fun.

well we already know the new movie is going to be rubbish but why not add a really cool girl that is like Ajax , cocky , loud and a trouble maker ! i think that wold be alright

ok here's where i am gonna catch flack from the female member's but here goes, i do not want a chick warrior!! sorry, but i am so tired of watching guy's get beat up by girl's. i mean i understand why after 1000 or so years of abuse. but still, i don't fight with girls and any half a man don't either! i have a simple i don't hit u, u don't hit me philosophy. but, i don't care how many kickboxing classes j lo takes, she aint kickin my a** neither is any other chick.  sorry ladies. i'm kinda old fashioned i still like women that are just that women, not women trying to be men. do women like men that are trying to be women? and not as just shopping buddies! lol

I've got to disagree with everyone else. By all means, theres nothing wrong with a female warrior. I've also got a problem with the whole "women shouldn't be fighting" attitude the rest of the board has. Women are just as much male's equals, and should be given the same opportunities.

I'm sorry but i have to disagree with you here. By no means am i sexist or think that women should only do certain things, but fighting and strength wise men and women are not equal. Sure a woman can train and be stronger than a guy but naturally men have a higher percentage of muscle and lower of fat than  women. Its just the way we were born and men naturally have an advantage over women when it comes to strength.

Anyway i dont think a woman should be in the warriors because it just doesnt seem plausible.

This reminds me of that episode of The Andy Grifeth Show where Opy gets hit by a girl and cant do anything about it. Now I have been in tap fights, you still hit pretty hard with your fists but not a real fight. A guy can hit back in fake fights because its just for fun. When your acullay in a real fight no honset guy would hit you back. Its wrong for him to hit back but it is just as wrong to hit him in the first place. Thats just a dishonest cheap shot. The only time they can hit back is when your in a real bad fight. One that ussaly happens on a school yard or somthing where a teacher rips you away before you kill eachother.(which ive been in by the way) The only girl warrior I would be willing to see would be one shone in the first or last credits as mentioned above.

Obviously u guys have never taken a martial art! When I was in Tae Kwon Do I remember some of those chicks good brawl and they barely had any muscle I never got beat but I saw some things. I remember a chick kicked this dude in the chest and knocked him into the air! Before he hit the ground she kicked him in the nuts like 3 times! :badgrin: It made him cry and all us dudes wore our cups after that!
