Who would you take out?

I do believe in equality, women can do alot of jobs that men do--and should get paid equally to do them---but women are NOT going to be as physically strong as men. And IF you can't take an equal punch--you better not be giving them out--it is only fair---and I believe in that too!!!

I grew up wishing I was a boy, until I turned about 13, and learned to dance---then it seemed to make a difference to be different--and I am glad I am who I am!! LOL
I was the first woman to go to work on the ranch that my husband and I now run---and back in the days---the old timers had LOTS of problems with me doing what I was learning to do---didn't get much respect at all until I got dragged around in the mud and crap and didn't quit---and showed up every day to do it again---Now alot of them are some of my best friends and taught me what I needed to know to do it easier---You do what you have to do, but being strong doesn't mean a woman has to be masculine.

So while I don't want her shoving her way into fights, and looking for trouble. IF it arrives--I do think she better be able to take care of herself--cause everyone will be busy at that point, and needing someone to take care of you then--and you are a handicap instead of an asset.
thanx!! ranchgal!! i do tend to express myself overly, lol on thing's i feel strongly about! lol see, this ain't so hard to talk about!! why does the rest of society, have such a problem disscussing the male, female issues?? and i would like to say, that was about the best way, i've ever heard that phrased!! a woman doesn't have to be masculine, to be strong!! perfectly said!!! my wife's a very strong person, and i wouldn't have it any other way!! and you are absolutely right, about equal pay for equal work!! absolutely!!!! iv'e always been real big on fair. and there is still a lot of sexism out there, i'm not ignorant, to it. and i don't think that's right either. i hate it!! but it definately goes both way's! i give you a lot of respect, and i mean a lot!! i assume you're a rancher? (pretty smart, huh? that's why i make the big buck's!! lolololololololololololololol) sorry, you just don't know how funny that is!! anyway, and i figure you're in my age area, (again, sorry!) lol and i know what it was like 20, 25 yrs ago. ranching's, bust-ass work!! man, woman, whoever!! and i'm sure you caught plenty of flak, then for wanting to do a man's job so to speak! if i ever get that horse my daughters have been moaning about forever, every question we have, guess who i'm callin!!! that's right, you!!!

I don't want to disrespect other people's opinions and beliefs, its just that I hate people judging if I can do something or not based solely on the fact that I'm a girl. I get a lot of men at my work thinking they need to help me when all they do is make my job harder. Yeah, I'm a girl, but I can use tools, I can lift big loads and I can do it by myself, thats what I'm paid to do! What really gets me is that some men who ask my advice think that I don't know what I'm talking about when they don't like the answer I give. I'm a feminist, but I don't hate men and I don't burn my bras, I like to wear dresses and I like make up, I wear my hair short because I like it that way not to be butch (I look very cute with short hair). I wouldn't want to hit anyone, but if a man or woman came after me I would show them no mercy!

As a teenage dude, I can safely say I don't want a prissy stick figure girl rolling with the warriors, tossing musclemen over her shoulders left and right. I don't want those extreme "female empowerment" scenes either. You know the type, where she gets made fun of for being a girl and effortlessly KOs a man twice her size with a background in boxing or something. Now, I hope she's an addition, not a replacement. But it depends on what type she is, for how she's designed. My main ideas are either brawler, or kind of like Mercy, or just a normal girl. For the brawler by trade, she'd need to be more muscular, tough. This doesn't necessarily mean manly, though. I know girls who aren't masculine but can still kick some serious arse with their strength. She brawls, not models. This is what they'll have to remember.

I mean, a skinny beach blonde bimbo can't just use her judo and women's self-defense courses to kick arse. Unless you're seriously[/] into martial arts, and have great, certified teachers, all the classes will barely mean jack squat in a street fight. (Especially American versions of any art. I have seen black belts of varying arts [mainly americanized ones] fall in all-out fights.)

If she's more of a normal girl or otherwise, I'd have to say she'd have to have a more defense-oriented style, probably with some usage of leverage. I mean, enough to beat up a few Furies, at least. It's quite possible. I mean, a normal girl, probably not a bodybuilder, probably not a serious martial artist (maybe some previous lessons), and definitely not a model (Once again, if I see a skinny model wipe out a group of boppers with efficiency rivaling that of Ajax, I'm demanding a refund). Just a normal girl. Once again, I know it's possible, but Ajax was able to wipe out all the Furies because he's so strong compared to the others. No finesse, nothing. I'd expect the female Warrior to maybe have some more finesse and actual martial arts-inspired stuff in her fighting. And I don't mean really feminine or acrobatic, agile, or "girly". I mean, I dunno, maybe something like Tae Kwan Do or something (maybe even something like Tai-Chi or Ba Gua - I wouldn't be surprised if there are some places in NY that will teach more exotic or rare styles like that) mixed with street fighting.

Anyways, this is my terribly tired rant. If I offended someone, oops.
