What would Walter Hill and the original cast think?
What do you think Walter Hill and the original cast think about this crappy re-make? And I just found out, after reading the interview with Tony Scott, that instead of just 9 gang members from each gang theres going to be thousands. What the hell is this Tony Scott character thinking??? The movie is what it is because there was only 9 members from each gang there, and the Warriors were out numbered on their way home, therefore giving you action and suspence in the film. So...your thoughts?

THOUSANDS?? Scott must be retarded, or on his way to being retarded. Honestly, if their is thousands, they should have no problem getting home. Whats next? The scene where Ajax 'gets rough' with a girl, but instead has like 100 guys all doing that to a bunch of women to get the same feeling across like when Ajax went to jail. This sounds retarded. Because if it was only the one guy to do it again, you wouldn't care. There would still be tons of Warriors left. The loss with when Ajax got arrested was the fact that they would only have six guys left, to make it all the way back, not like 999 guys left.cowboy rules wrote: What do you think Walter Hill and the original cast think about this crappy re-make? I think he is trying to make it into an "Epic" But i agree with cowboy rules, The 9 members on there way home surrounded by thousands made it suspenseful and stuff. But with this it will probably be just one big fight basically, Witch is another thing i liked about The Warriors it was not just a big gang brawler the Warriors wanted to avoid fighting and just get home. The more you think of it Tony is just taking away everything that made The Warriors so so good and replacing it with a bunch of crap. Another thing, Remember the controversy over the Warriors when it first came out? Now with real gangs in it i can see a real riot starting and way more controversy.
This movie seems worse every time i think about it.

Re: What would Walter Hill and the original cast think?
My opinion of your original question is that I don't think WH or any of the original cast give a thought about it one way or another. THey don't care.
They made their movie, and they already know it is a classic in it's own right, and if anyone wants to "remake" it --they all have moved on.
Walter Hill wished TS well, and said he didn't have any problems with them trying it, because he knew they couldn't make a remake of HIS original movie, so whatever they did do, didn't matter or affect him at all.
none of the cast cares at all---after 25 years, they don't care about what a new movie will or will not be, unless it is something they are personally involved with-and none of them are with this project.

excellent point made there, i think that they wont care because the only thing that is gonna be the same realistically is the title. why would they care they r making a completely different film, Walter Hill and co. wont worry because they made this film what it is and they shouldnt have to care about some eejit making a "remake" that differs from the original plot completelyRanchgal wrote: My opinion of your original question is that I don't think WH or any of the original cast give a thought about it one way or another. THey don't care.
