I cant beleive some of you are even considering of liking the idea of this remake. I mean come on almost everybody who saw the warriors dont want it remade. The only people that want it remade is the people who havent seen the original they just think its another gang movie!

Dude, come on. You are being a little too harsh. You have to relize that a remake was comeing sooner or later. I think people need to stop dogging it until it comes out and you see how it is. It is of great respect for the original movie that I am saying that, because it can only help the growth of this movies greatness. 8)

So you tink the new warriors movie wont mess the last one? Just think about a remake of The Godfather,  the Shinning, Casino, Goodfellas and even Scarface (i know scarface is a remake but anyway the 1930's version sucked). those movies, just like the warriors, are perfect in all ways and should not get remade. Now think about everyone that will see the new warriors before the classic one. they wont want to see the old one anymore because that new one will suck, with all those non-original and faggot crips&bloods-like crappy ******* outfits. With those turdy rap songs. No one can act as Michael Beck, James Remar and the 10s of others did. When peoples will talk about the warriors after this movie gets on screen (can I call this a movie?) everyone will think about the the new one, not the old one. The Warriors is a "Chef d'Oeuvre", and if there is a remake, it'll will never get seen as today anymore, peoples will only remember it because of the crappy remake that will thrash one of the best movie ever : The Warriors 1979

Here is a message for Tony Scott (i dont think he even know about this site and if he does, i wonder why he dont stop his remake) :

Dear Tony,
I hope you know what you are about to do. I know you think you can do better than The Warriors, but there is no reasons to use the same name. Anyway, how come you got the licence to name your movie the warriors? What dont you understand in this : The Warriors IS ALREADY PERFECT, so dont screw it up! You should just stop this before it's too late, you are goin faggot Tony. You should think about it twice before filming this crap. Atleast use another name for your movie. You can call it however you want but NOT THE WARRIORS. You know, there is alot of name that can replace the warriors and make peoples think about the same thing : The Fighter, The Soldier, The Crusaders, The Gangster, anyway this movie is about actual rap-based gangs so why dont you just call it the Craps or the Shluds. I hope you understood that no one here wants to see a remake of a master piece like the Warriors.

gtasa, I admire your spirit, and I like the way you quote the original movie in your letter. I myself have my own ploy to jab at Tony Scott while praising the original. For my final major project in college, I am going to do my own movie based on The Warriors, and despite being cheaper it will have all the ideals of the original, and Tony Scott can kiss my British bum.

Something I'm gonna hate is that they'll take out the Luther threat (so i have heard might not be true they might use it)

so for me I some-what hate it and some-what agree(not like it) with it and I think they should use all the gangs from the origional and the same characters

I agree with all you guys 100%.I first heard about a warriors remake two years ago,and i  couldn't believe it.I was 5 years old when i first saw the warriors, my uncle used to watch it all the time,it was and still is my uncle's favourite movie,hell,my entire family loves that movie,i can't even to begin to describe how many times through out the years i have heard someone from my family say 'warriors come out and play'.I've been waiting two years to get info about the new warriors,i have told everyome in my family about it a million times,and all that time i kept wondering who's going to be in it?,who's going to direct it?and most importantly,when the f*ck will it come out.And then about two weeks ago when i first joined this forum i was super shocked to find out that not only the original warriors characters weren't going to be in it,but now that old f*cking geezer tony scott actually has the nerve to take pretty much everything good about the original out and replace the baseball furies,turnbull ac's and the other with the f*cking bloods and crips,what the hell is that sh*t.There already is a  gang movie about the bloods and crips and it's called 'colors'from 1988.So to wrap things up i'm really p*ssed about the remake and since they don't even have any characters cast yet for the remake.it's not too late,so yeah if there is anyway i can help stop this remake before it comes out,just let me know and i will do my best.

i think there shouldnt be a remake, even though this forum isnt totally about having a remake, theres some advice me dad told me once, he said " if it isnt broke, dont fix it", i think that about the warriors, its a great movie, and its not broke, so why try and fix it with a remake.....
