Well i personally think that all of you are getting the wrong impression about the movie, like u never know it probly will be better then the origional, it probly wont, but atleast support it and be glad a newer and updated version of the movie will be available to us...

The impression we are getting is of a director who is a little too full of himself, coming along and taking a treasured piece of pop culture, tossing it on the ground, and pissing all over it.

Tony Scott is not remaking the Warriors. He is thumbing his nose at us - the fans, and Walter Hill, and Sol Yurick, and all the actors, ect. He is saying, "Yeah, your movie was ok, but this is what it should have been like." Add to that the fact of his recent infatuation with Bloods and Crips who would have no qualms about killing his grandmother in a drive by if she got in their way, and you might even have a good case to question his sanity.

I am not against remakes if they pay homage to and show respect to the original. The recently released The Fog is a good example.

The remake wont be better to all you Hardcore Warrior fans as you're to in love with the orginal im not saying you all will hate the remake but basically from some one new to watching the remake and not knowing about the Orginal "The Warriors" film wont be dissapointed...I think it will be a good film in-itself and isnt ment to be better, or compared to the orginal.

the remake is a way for MTV to make some fast cash regardless of anything. the furies aint even gonna be in it nomore, the names are all changed and its gonna be in California.
The Holywood warriors, gotta nice ring to it dont it.

then it shouldn't be called "The Warriors"

You said it well, SHM. We are mostly upset that they are calling this a remake and naming it The Warriors. Paramount and Scott could have made the same movie and not call it The Warriors. By calling it a remake Scott has to be held accountable.

i am a hardcore warriors fan and im not retarded eather im just thinkin maybe we should give this movie a chance

but most of u are right it will suck but still its a warriors movie! im a hardcore warriors fan and the origional ROCKED!

ya know i used to think that 2, any warriors, and more warriors, is great!!!
however, from what we've heard about this "remake", it just shouldn't have anything to do with the original.

The remake sound horrible. If its by MTV, theyre gonna do to The Warriors exactly what they did with music. Popularize the new and horrible, and make people hate the old.

actually i read about the remake, it is going to suck, using crips and bloods as warriors and stuff, hell no thats not what it should be like!
