New Warrior here.

Post by WarlordSwan »

Well, I'm a huuuuge Warriors fan for over 20 years now.  Just started getting into the costuming part of this and am looking for a really accurate vest.  I have a nice one that I just got from Mondotees and I love it and all, but would like one that is a little more accurate.  Now I am dyeing my mondotees one to look more accurate, but figured I'd sign up here and ask.

I'm a costume maker myself, mostly Batman stuff and am always up for a trade.  Here's 12 pages of pics of my work.  Doesn't have to be a trade, just any leads to as close to a screen used vest as possible.

Thanks for any help.

Hey man welcome to the forum, I have to say that your Batman work is amazing. Being a Batman fan myself along with my dad, your work is great and you should keep on making this stuff.

Thanks for the kind words man.  I'm constantly updating my picture pages and have all kinds of new things in the works, from Ironman, to V, to Superman.  I have a Superhero, Sci-fi to general prop forum myself, which is here:

check out the warriors bazaar forum link.  I saw that there is a site:  www.a-1americanflags.com  or on ebay a guy on this site called charloots who calls his vests coney island warriors vest.

Thanks guys.  I checked out A-1 and those vests look great, but I couldn't click on anything on that site?  Is it down or something?

I saw the auction with "The Coney Island Warriors vest" header and absolutely was going to bid on it, but it was an xtra large.  I'm only 5'10 160 lbs, so a medium is what is in my cross-hairs.  ;)  I am taking my mondotees vest to be dyed accurately, but never hurts to have 2 vests.

Thanks for the kind words guys. I appreciate it.  I've been speaking to my leather guy and we may be working on some super accurate vests in the future.  Just like my Batman stuff, when I started off, I purchased a bunch of stuff that was okay, but not as accurate as I'd like.. so I took matter into my own hands.  Never thought I could do it, LOL!  :o  I'll try to get around to working on them soon and will post here.

Cheers!

I think you will have some new best friends around here if you can pull it off. I should introduce you to SHM. People here are willing to pay large sums of money for a dead on accurate vest.

Well, I definetely wouldn't do it for the money, just to help "spread the word" that the Warriors live on through the fans.  Cost will be low, in other words.  I just got off the phone with my leather guy and trust me folks, this guy knows his materials.. so he is going to get started on a prototype vest soon and when he sends it to me, I'll post pics.  I've sent him a lot of reference materials and will be involved in the project from A-Z and will continue to work on them until they are perfect replicas.

Not sure, due to copywrite stuff, if we can sell it with the patches, so we may sell off a few without the patches, but will include the patches for free with the vests or something.  From the work my leather guy has done in the past, these will be dead-on.  ;)

shm whats going on,hope all is well.its been a while.as far as dales A-1 vest goes they are made over seas by a company called 'shan meeran enterprises'. in pakistan you can by 10 vest from them for 150.00 each.or 1 for 200.00. also the patches on your vests are way to small and to close to each other.
