Funny description for a FURIES jersey

Post by LIER ONE »

http://cgi.ebay.com/FURIES-BASEBALL-JER ... 500wt_1154

This person's description is funny and VERY misleading:

Up for bids is a new baseball jersey that my son hasn't worn. it's been hanging in his closet with a bag over it.  the jersey is a authentic piece from the movie: "THE WARRIORS"! THE JERSEY IS A 2X MENS  SIZE.! No International Shipping! Sorry !

Are they trying to say it is from the movie?
"It's on and we're going!"

A little too clean to be from the "movie".  Even kept clean from new, it would not be so sparkly white after 30 years.

Asian import from a few years ago.  Probably not worn because it's too big for the owner.

It seems so. Later on, if someone reports him to Ebay for misleading description, he can always play dumb and say he meant it looks like a piece from the movie!

Here's the seller's response:

It's not the actual one that was worn in the movie, it's suppose to be a replica of the real thing. my wife bought the jersey for my son years ago from a company that authenticates items like jerseys. my wife paid $ 100.00 plus shipping for the jersey. I wish I had the receipt for it. thanks for your interest.

So, based on this, it would appear he does not know the meaning of the word "authentic" (and especially when used in the verb form authenticates)!

And mysteriously the item has "BIDDING ENDED". Guess he will re-list it with a different description. I paid $100 like 7 years ago for a HOME RUN DERBY BASEBALL FURIES jersey and it is AMAZING quality.

They are still available. I don't wear it, but it still looks as great as the day i took it out of the box. Yes, they are higher than what you can get on eBay (SM Has a great jersey) but they are HIGH-QUALITY jerseys from HRD.

Thinks he's getting it mixed up with replicates.
