ORPHANS LEADER
there is another forum where it says where to buy the ORPHANS LEADER. There is a limited supply left, so good luck. Series 1 and the SDCC 2008 FURY the only place is EBAY. Sometimes for series 1 you can get a good deal (except Ajax and the BLUE FURIES which will run a pretty penny. AJAX I have seen up to $300 and I know a BLUE FURIES just sold for $600 BUY IT NOW). SDCC 2008 FURY is going now for $250-$300 sometimes higher. If you want this, I would pick it up now before it goes up up like the BLUE FURIES. Hope this helps.

I wonder why they decided to call it "series 1" if a "series 2" was never going to come out?

Because it wasn't their intention to never make a Series 2. Lack of retailer support killed that line. If they had sold great initially, Mezco would have continued the line past Series 1.
They are approaching this new line a bit differently. Seems they will be selling them more in house. Kind of like how
www.sideshowcollectibles.com do it.
I am surprised people are still bummed about the 2005 line not continuing. It was cool and all, and I was bummed at first as well, but that was over three years ago, and the new figures are SO much better in terms of likeness, all around looks, and articulation. They are superior on every possible level, other than cost.
I know some people prefer the cartoony look, and that is just fine, but hard for me to understand. Maybe more people just need to see these in person and feel them in their own hands. That is the true selling point.
