Was Swan always 2nd in command?

What do you guys think.  Was he the second in command or like the Riffs, did the 2nd in command stayed behind?  Was he just for that night?

Well when ajax wants to be WarLord, in the graveyard, everybody tells him that Cleon has named Swan WarChief. Almost surely during the "colloquy", in the first scenes, between Cleon and the guys. So I think he was 2nd only 4 that night, too. Then, if Swan was anyway, always 1st Cleon's choice... to me it's true.
But I don't think there was another official 2nd waiting 4 them, or attending if they were in trouble, as insurance policy.
I mean The Riffs needed a more complete organization than The Warriors, by force. 8)

I think he was 2nd in command for that night also.  I feel there was someone higher than Swan back in Coney.  I guess that's why it was easy for Ajax to challenge Swan, knowing he wasn't really in charge of the whole gang but just the 7.

I think he was in 2nd command for just that night also I mean, you can tell in the deleted scene at the start. Cleon says, "Out of more than 150 members, you have been chosen for this expedition..."
Well, he said something like that. To me, it seemed as all they knew about each other, was their names. Thus meaning (well I think) they were chosen for that one night.

Then again at particular times in the movie they seemed to know a bit more than usual.

Well, this is an interesting question, because its hard to say if Cleon just chose them all as his "special 8" for that paticular night, or were they always his right hand men.  I assume with a special night like that, Swan was always the 2nd in command.  After all if your going to a conclave like that, it would be logical to only bring the best of the best, and not permenent substitutions.  So I truly think Swan was his right hand man.  Now the question is, would Swan stick with that call of duty and raise the gang his self, or does he have an alternate fate, to break away from that position?

Yeah, I think the same, I mean we cannot be sure about other Warriors "doubts"... but no chance about someone higher than Cleon... we'd have seen him if... so I say: Cleon 100% War Lord, and absolutely Warriors #1! 8)

... and indeed we could square or close the circle (is it the right way of saying, I think, tell me if not!!!) now!!!
I mean because of luther it was a bad night..ok!!!
But because of Cleon, GREAT LEADER... I just think, The Warriors were there... and if everything had gone good, The Warriors would have got better their rank... there was something (about gang respect) between Cleon and Cyrus!!! Another reason because of I think that Cleon really was The Leader and a Very Good Leader!!! NO DOUBT!!! Well IMO!!! 8)
