Character Changes

Post by Lion »

Ok, I searched and nothing.  In my opinion, again in my opinion, I think the film would of been better if:

Masai was the one who got shot and Cyrus being the 2nd in command.

If Vermin would of gotten arrested and not Ajax.

If Fox had not gotten run over by the train but Rembrandt instead.

If Mercy had not went with them.

If Cochise was killed by the Riffs instead of Cleon.

What about you.  This is just for characters.  I know there is a topic about the film.

Yes, alot of those are really good. Cleon and Cyrus were both seemingly great characters, and if they lived (like you said) that would have been pretty cool. Mercy- eh, I could take her or leave her. Doesn't really matter. And Fox also seemed cool, and I strongly dislike Rembrandt, so yeah. It would be better (IMO) for Rembrandt to die in Fox's place.

Good ideas!  :D

Don't worry Lions, you don't have to emphasize "In my opinion", because its always good to hear everyones view points.
I see whta you mean, but regardless of how I feel, these things have to happen. The universe forms into paradox's that are meant to happen, so we can learn from these expierences, and go on a new journey in life.  Cleon is meant to die, so thet challenge of the mission, can be more harder, and difficult.  I am sure with Cleon we wouldn't loose Ajax, and Fox, and things would have gone more smooth and planned out, even if the journey was hard.  As an individual, Ajax is supposed to pay for his actions, no mater hoe much we like him.  Remember every action has a reaction.  This is the path that Ajax insisted on taking in life, and those are the consequences he is meant to pay.  Fox is a character, we are supposed to sympathize with, since he looked after Mercy, an having him die, along with Cleon, makes the audience look more after the underdigs of the story.  Mercy is more of a test, to see how we treat a judge people through our lives.  Vermin is a classic comoc relief, and Rembrandt is supposed to be the baby of the group.  Bassically he represents hope, for the youngsters who watch the movie, and those who no what it is like to look after a younger brother.  Chochise and and SNow, speak from themselves, as the styalish, adn disciplined ones, Swan is the "ONE", who has to be tested, to take the warriors through an ultimate journey, which we don't know if he is prepared for, and cowboy, just symbolizes the average guy.  SO things happen for a reason, no matter if we like it or not.  Especially Cyrus, and Masai.  yrus represents the grat hope, leading us to salvasion, and after unfortunatley loosing him, Masai comes in representing survival of the fittest. Things in the cosmos, go beyong good and evil, and take these complex direction for a reason.  Weather we can explain the or not, its a never ending circle, that inevitable, happens all for a reason.

You got that right lion.  After all they all have their own unique essence and persona to the film, It's natural to want them all to survive.

would of liked cleon to make to the end or at least a bit further, maybe get trapped outside the train when the turnbull's are on their tails, you know making sure they all had got on ok as any leader would have.the rest of them having to witness his gruesome end as the car slowly pulls away  :shock:haha

Even more interesting would be if Cyrus survived the shooting, having worn a bullet-proof vest at Masai's urging, deeply saddened by the misplaced blame.

I am not saying this would be a better film. I'm just saying it would be interesting.
I agree. I know obviosly everyone would rather have no Warriors die. But I think the movie would have had more of an impact if they all slowley got picked off one by one. I think a sad ending if more gut wrentching and memorable than a happy one.

Really, I wouldn't change around any Warriors. They each died for a reason. At the meeting Cleon could have escaped with Rembrandt, but told him to go on ahead, he went to go see if Cyrus was alright, thats what caused his death.

The Fox tackeled the cop so Mercy could get away, he sacraficed himself so she wouldn't be arrested.

As for Ajax. It was his fault 100% why he was arrested. If Cleon was there, I'm pretty sure he wouldn't have gone, but it was Ajax' own flaws that cause him to get arrested.
We're gonna make it back. We came this far and we're gonna make it the rest of the way!

I like that idea, that would be a killer ending.
