I think Ajax is overrated. People think because he laid a whooping on a few furies means he is tough. Alot people say the Furies weren't really much of a strong gang and they use their appearance to make them look scary. The Baseball Furies didn't even give a worthy fight. Im sure Ajax is overrated and he's a wimp.

Anyone agrees??

Hell no Ajax isn't my favorite Warrior but hes tough he smashed The Furies and thats crap that The Furies were a crap gang if their so crap why did they get invited to the meting and Ajax was soldier in the middle heavy muscle for The Warriors.So no I don't think that Ajax is overrated.

Man i you blined ajax smashed about 5 furies in the furies fight and when he got hancuffed to the bench he was pulling it with one arm and the two cops came and ajax took one of the cops out with one arm and he had a baton in his hand and ajax is my favorite warrior his is the toughest and strongest warrior maybe not as strong as cleon but i dont know but ajax is definetly not overated.

he isnt overated theres no doubt hes tough he proved it on a few occasions,but the only thing that puts him down is he fell for the woman cop trap but apart from that hes pretty tough

He is easily overrated, i mean, he was important to the group because of his fighting skills in the same way as Rembrandt was important because he was the writer. But most people who likes Ajax just dont want to face the fact that while having the muscle, he didn't have the brains. If he had the brains too, he would make the perfect Warrior, and that wouldn't make this a good movie. The Warriors different skills and personalities is one of the things that make the movie as good as it is. I have changed my mind about him since i joined the forum, i still think he's cool and all, but just not like i used too after seeing it from different points of wiew.

I guess I can see what you mean.  Because when I first saw the warriors, I can see that Walter Hill wanted him to be the arrogant one of the group, and most aggressive, but in my opinion he's not the best.  When I first saw the film, I saw guys like, Snow, Chochise, ans Swan, as equal fighters.  It just so happens, Ajax saw brawling as fun, making him appear more agressive.  There were many graet fighters in the film besides him.  yes having him in the punks brawl would have been nice, but as you can see he is one of many great warriors, thus making him overrated. 

He's definitely overrated. Sure, he kicked some serious Fury tail, but that's about it. What else did he do? Flip off the Turnbulls? Ooh, big deal. Even Rembrandt could have done that. He ran? Well, so did every other Warrior.

And then, he got arrested. Not even wrecked or killed, ARRESTED. He smashed through a wooden fence at the conclave, he could have smashed through the bench and gotten away. But no, stupid Ajax instead tried to hit the lady, when he could have been making his escape. And then, there's his lack of respect for what Cleon wanted (because he wanted to be warlord).

So yes, I think Ajax is over-rated.

And so what? Swan was great in the fight too, and Snow probably was (we didn't see too much of him), but at least they followed orders and looked out for the others. And they didn't let their horniness get them arrested.

In my eyes Ajax is good but not the best,Maybe a little overated but not much if any.But to call him a wimp thats a bit out of line and not too true.

Ajax is no weakling cowboy is cool he is the muscle of the warriors i dont think he is so weak if cleon put ajax at soldier the middle because if he is so weak how did he take 5 furies in the furies fight and moved a 300 pound bench with one arm and took a cop with one arm and at least he does want to fight not runaway like some of the other warriors.

I don't think he is overrated, maybe not very smart, but he can kick some butt.

If you say Ajax or any other Warrior is over-rated then you're not really down with this movie.  You might as well say the movie is over-rated.  That's all.
