Shooting the scenes at Coney
Shooting the scenes at Coney
I was just thinking about how they shot the movie and for the scenes at Coney they have all the Warriors at the start and the ones that make it at the end. But with all the changes that occured with the characters, particularily Fox's does this mean that Walter Hill shot the scenes in sequence according to the story or did they do the usual shooting all the scenes needed at one location and then reshot the ending again after all the changes were made? If this did happen is there another ending with Fox making it back and Cochise and Vermin dead? If so will it be on the special edition? Just a thought.

I don't know the answer except my own opinion is I don't think they followed the first script--I think it was rewritten before they did much filming--and since they were shooting in a lot of different places-and were somewhat dependant on weather etc etc--I am betting they did not follow a specific order and shot where ever they needed to whenever they could---big cities can be hard to film in because you have to do so much prep work to avoid traffic, sightseers etc etc.

That is a very good point, Im thinking that they did do them in sequence....as you pointed out they did have to make a few alterations to the script. Perhaps they thought they had done all the filming for the Coney location but then had to return.....I think it is more likely they filmed where the script told them in that order.

I dunno I guess it's possible there might be Fox Coney Island footage od him making it but I dont think that's the case cause if they did shoot it in order, Fox left so they had to kill him off. but if they did the beginning and end and then the middle, and then Fox leaves, well then that's probably content unknown to the public.
But as much as I respect Fox the idea of Swan being kidnapped by a gang of homosexuals is too disturbing lol! and on top of that if they really went along with the rest of the script, then that means Vermin gets shot, Cowboy gets batted 6 feet under, and I forgot who else got wasted in the original script.
So I kinda rather lean on Fox's 'relationship with the train'.
I would like to see the rumored deleted scene of Ajax escaping the police, beating up the guy who hit him in the park, and handcuffing that cop lady to a handle of a car as he drives away.
