I think it is ajax because he has a lot more muscle then all of the other people in the movie and plus he moved a whole bench with one arm so i think that ajax is the srongest person in the movie.

You know what?  There have been a thousand threads about "toughest" or "best" but they have all been about characters.  This is an intersesting thread because it asks about acting.  That's different from favorite character or baddest gang.  There is some terrible acting in this movie we love.  It doesn't matter to us.  So as far as the actors...I'd have to go with Roger Hill's performance as Best Actor.  Finally, good question, and not deserving of the Punk-lke ambush.

Its no doubt that its Roger Hill.  I mean Roger Hill had this huge shakespear kind of voice, that really compelled the viewer into the whole essence of this movie.  In the directors cut James Remar even talks about getting goosbumps while hearing the great speech.  It makes me wonder why this gut never went onto bigger and better things.  This is one hard working actor that took his role very seriously.  Someone who put mind, body and spirit into his work.

My vote is also going to Roger Hill, his speech at the beginning of the movie is definitely the best performed movie speech ever!It is a shame his role in the movie was not bigger.

roger hill made cyrus believable im not saying the other characters arnt,but roger made cyrus have a powerful voice,a voice of reason,now yes luther played his part exeptionly well i mean that little squirm when he says 'nooooooooo' i loved it and thats what you called pure acting

and micheal beck the way he made swan,i loved the way micheals eyes widened every time somthing bad was going to happen



i also thinkthe man who played the furies leader played his role very well,i know he was entitled to keep a straight face but the way he did it was great

david patrick kelly was awesome i think,his description of his role on the new dvd was really insightful.how he came up with the taunting with the bottles from his creepy neighbour who used to do that to him at nighttime,not with bottles obviously but on his wall! that would get your attention huh! :badgrin:
roger hill was amazing with the time he had aswell,really setting the tone for the whole movie with that speech.its not really what he's saying it's the way he delivers it that does it for me!
i also have a soft spot for david harris's acting in this movie the way he says "cyrus was right about one thing,it's all out there,ya just gotta find a way to go steal it!" always liked the way he drags out the word "all".his best bit in the movie for me!
and last but no means least james remar...the venom in his face and voice when he delivers the words"i'll shove that bat up your ass,and turn you into a popsicle...come on!"through his clenched teeth always gives me a little clench of the fist  when im watching it.
