I tried to find the answers to these questions but I never found them so here goes:
1. Where was that scene shot after the Warriors get to Coney Island...the shot of the view when Swan looks and says "This is what we fought all night to get back to..."
2. Where was the opening of the movie shot? The D train pulling into the station

1. that scene was shot at coney island
2. the opening was also coney island with the wheel, and differ parts of NYC a guess where other gangs turf were u dnt actually see the turf maybe the train stations near their hangouts, and question 1 is pretty dumb question to ask

Ok duh! I know it was shot in Coney Island...I just wanted to know where in Coney Island whether that view can be seen from a train station or somewheres else
and the second question was in reference to the train station where the D train is coming in...i'm guessing its the Brighton Beach station on the B line (the D train used to run where the B & Q trains run today)

Nothing wrong with Question 1 it's a genuine question.
96th Street Station is in fact 72nd, The meeting isn't in the Bronx, The turnbulls aren't in the Bronx they are in Brooklyn etc.
So check the rules and don't be rude.

That's Stillwell Avenue Station in the opening where the D train is pulling in. Here's a picture of what it looks like now.

ok maybe i'm trying to be a perfectionist...but i'm still trying to figure out where that D train runs at the time the movie was filmed and which train would that have taken its place coming into the station today...i guess i'm trying to hit the nail on the exact points...its a little tricky...i've done alittle bit of research and all the "Transit nerds" out there can certainly help me with this one if I've made any errors: 1979 vs. 2006...all I know is that the end of the line in C.I. for the D train is now where the N train stops in...and the train that you see them getting out of at the end would be the B train but is now where the D train stops...the B doesn't go to C.I. and the F still runs on the same line and ends in the same place in C.I...and the end of the line for the N is now where the Q comes in...basically the difference between 1979 and the present time...
and I already know that the train stops in C.I. thanks anyways for the picture Killermine...its that curve that is a little tricky to me...but not hard enough to give up on
lets not all be rude because of this that may seem easy but its more of a head scratcher than anything else...its a small detail in the movie...like trying to figure out the tunnel where Mercy and Swan were walking thru (which I think its somewhere near Hoyt-Schermerhorn St. station)...or where the Lizzie hangout might've been...or the Riff hangout would be today (somewhere in Gramercy...maybe)

I see you found it, but for anyone else looking-- Go to GENERAL WARRIORS CHAT. It is a pinned thread, like number 2 in the section, and started by Warchief. Routes, maps and arial photos I think is part of the name.
But there is one subway tunnel that the city allows use of for movie/films etc,(but I can't remember where the location is, sorry-LOL, and that would probably be the one that Swan and Mercy were walking in, it is not actively part of the subway system anymore, which is why they let them use it--I remember reading the thread about it--so mostly if you take the time and look for it, most of your questions will find answers.
