  do you think cyrus actually wanted a bigger brighter futture for the misled youth or did he want the strenth in numbers to take over ny for his own selfish ruling...??? what do u think!

i think he wsa going for all the gangs' fortune becuz he sais tings like "we" and "our" and also you could tell it was not just for him when he was talking about "the man" turning them against eachother and thinking there has to be a better way

great topic!!, just makes u wonder wot he had planned, but i think by refering to them as "brothers" he wanted to unify everyone and take other for all their sakes, i think he cud have been thinking for himself but maybe he was sick of all the fighting eachother

probably a better future but it is possible that he was just acting to fool all the gangs

in my opinion, i think he was a leader of a big gang, the power got to him, and he wanted more. and the only way to get more was to unify all the gangs under his colors.

The more gangs he could get under his control the more chance he had of ruling new york.He was using them for his own ego

"when you're a part of the biggest gang in the city , you don't have to take any sh*t"  , i think that would sum it up for me . I highly doubt he had positive intentions , think about it ....he was talking about taking over the city and chasing out the police and the organized crime syndicates "nothing would move without us allowing it to happen" ....sounds like he wanted rule and dominate .

Also , it seemed like most of the gangs were ready to follow his lead (yeah yeah we know not luther or ajax but , whatever ) . Cyrus had charm and a very strong character and with that being said , the impression i got was that the rest of the gangs would listen to every word he said and not question his motives.

Cyrus mentions "the man" turning the gangs against one another.  Which could be who Luther talks to on the phone, which is part of another topin/link.  Anyways I think cyrus wanted to take over the city and run it like his gang for personal gain for the disenfranchised youth.  Meaning he wanted to be a big crime boss and all those who joined him would profit.

he knew what he was doing. he was making them think that they all could work together, and all have a part of new york, when actually they would, be doing the riffs dirty work, and getting profit from it.

A good Future for all gangs that was included in the meeting. Becasue if he wanted all the turd himself then other gangs would find out and team up taking out the riffs and stealing his idea. But i think
he would of wannaed peace to all gangs and share it all.

i agree with Warriorfan.... he was just using them...i mean he must of thought about how many of the gangs didnt get along that well at some point that or he is on some crazy $h*T.

Since he already had control over the largest gang in the city, he figured the next logical move would be to expand/ recruit from other gangs in the network.  Control more turf. 

But instead of approaching the gangs individually, conducts a Conclave/ Job expo for gangs.  Many would join the movement.  Some would choose NOT to join, and eventually be taxed or crushed, along with the cops and crime syndicates. 

With Warlords and Warchiefs managing thier respective zones, Cyrus could entrench himself deeper into the market of gang activity, meanwhile adding buffers of management between himself and the crime wave on the streets.

Selfish?  Probably had a few self serving agendas in play, but a great leader knows that he needs a strong TEAM to be successful.  I believe Cyrus had proven himself a worthy leader.  He was definitely well respected.

My 2 cents is that he wanted to be the head honcho of the entire gangs in NYC. Definently NOT selfish.
He wanted to unite all of the armies of the night and make it into one big gang. Listen to the speech. Those words are not one of a simple, selfish man.
