Missing scene?

I have always wondered whether or not there was a missing scene in the begining of the film.I belive there is one when Ajax talks about 'wasting' some heads and Cleon tells him to soldier and keep his mouth shut.

The Reason I belive a scene was cut is because of 3 reasons.

1. It shows Ajax talking to Fox and all of a sudden it shows Cleon,Then it shows the back of Fox's head again.

2.The look on Ajax's face just does not suit that moment,he has a sort of wierd look of disgust on his face, not a face he would make to his Warlord

3.Fox is not shown (exept the back of his head) at all in the begining of the film when The Warriors are talking to each other 1 on 1.Every single Warrior is shown talking to another person, exept The Fox.

Anyway I think that there was a scene cut where Ajax was talking to The Fox about something and they decided to cut it from the movie for whatever reason,,instead of filming a whole other scene they just repleaced the clip of Fox talking with a clip of Cleon telling Ajax off.

does anybody else think this is true and what is your opinion :?:

It's a very interesting thought, but I had never really payed it any attention. More than likely, they filmed them after Tom Waites left filming so all they had was a shot of the back of his head? I don't know man, but a really good observation.

Those scenes weren't in the original script or even in the shooting schedule.  Walter Hill decided to do them when they were shooting at the Coney train station one night.  So they weren't shot in order and they were spliced together in the editing room.

Ajax definitely isn't talking to Cleon about wasting heads, but I think Cleon's response about keeping your mouth shut and Ajax's reaction was the original take.  To me Ajax is the kind of guy who cannot stand being talked down to, even by a warlord.

And I believe the reason Fox is not shown is beacsue Tom Waites was already fired by the time they shot those scenes.

This is actually listed on the bloopers page. Tom McKitterick and David Holden mentioned a lot of stuff being cut that they can't recall, so you could definately be right
