Has anyone ever noticed this?

In the very beginning of the film when the Warriors are the on the platform and they are showing the individual conversations/statements by them, when Ajax utters the line, "Maybe we'll get to waste a few heads along the way!?!?!" Has anyone noticed that in that part with Ajax & Cleon, they show Ajax first, then Cleon and when they switch back to the view of Ajax at somewhat of an angle behind Cleon, that there's no way it was the back of Cleon they filmed? The back of the person they filmed was obviously white and had curly hair. My guess is that it's the back of Fox...

Am I the only one that noticed this?

Also, what's the deal with some of the gangs paying their damn tokens to ride the subway? Isn't that kinda wimpy???

Yeah i noticed that. I guessed Walter Hill wanted as little of T Waites in as possible

In the book all gangs got instructed to pay for the subway on the way to the meeting.

I guess that's what I get for being too lazy to read the book. I have it, started reading it about six(6) months ago and then haven't gotten back to it yet...

I just think that the gangs were going as representatives for their respective gangs and they didn't want to get into any trouble along the way. As far as Tom Waites is concerned it is a shame that he wasn't able to put the movie ahead of his own selfish ambitions. Tom got angry at Walter Hill because he decided to change the script and make Swan and Mercy the love interest instead of him and mercy. I think it was a very good decision by Walter and made the movie a lot better. I just can't see Fox and Mercy together myself. I think she is too much of a woman for him. It takes a War Chief to handle a hot chic like that.

I don't know about that. This person in question seemed a little too tall to be Fox.

I think it is Fox's stand in because I think Walter filmed the beginning scenes towards the end of the production. The movie was originally supposed to show them at the board walk at Coney early in the day and then the movie was determined to be filmed entirely at night except for the end of the movie. In essence it's Fox's double.
