It was actually put in because during filming she broke or injured her wrist and has a cast that they didnt want to show, so the jacket came into play to cover it up, the story was she stole it from some person because ''the cops are looking for a girl in a pink top''

Speaking of Fox that is why she broke it. The actor playing Fox didnt let go on time and she broke it.

filming the same time as the warriors film ..it wasnt on the warriors set.

She broke her wrist and hid the cast with that jacket. If you look carefully when they arrive at Coney then you can kind of see something white on her arm. That may be the cast.

in the directors cut said that she fell and broke her wrist .and thats why she wore a jacket .
