i love the warriors 1979 movie but if there was anything i could change on the movie it would defintly be the fighting scenes. I understand that in 1979 fighting was a little more one on one without being totaly ganged up on and thats why the furies lost to the warriors , but still the movie should have had a better furie warrior fighting scene. 'ah fuk it' - ajax

you have to give them credit because it is a 27 year old movie!

To me the only dissapointment in the movie was that there wasn't any Warriors-Rogues fight, just a lot of build up.

All the fight scenes were good I wish that they showed the Riffs annihalate the Rogues

I loved the fight scenes. They had a touch of realism to the fighting in that it was very close contact and the whole fight seemed improvised and not choreographed at all. IMO

Same here.
I love the fight scenes, even the ones that don't actually happen
Every gang in the movie to me has a purpose, just like every Warrior and every fight scene. The ACs are bigger in number, they seem to have alot of weapons (chains and stuff), so, no fair, no fight. Orphans, wimps, but 30 of them, no fight. Furies, baseball bats, not that many and too cool, wonderfull gang, and great oportunity to show some real action, fair fight. Lizzies, gun, no way. Punks, no weapons, long fight and coolest in my opinion. Rougues, the villains, armed, cowards, don't deserve a fight, they're not even looking for one: "You're crazy, you're dead"

I dont know about this,it`s kinda scarier that you dont see it as you know they`re gonna get totally wasted, the last wail of despair from Luther tells you they`re done for so leaves it to your imagination of the pain endured!
It was similar with Cleon, you see him get a few kicks and elbows but it`s left to your imagination the rest of his fate,so it`s more eeary i guess.

Didn't I?

Thanks sweetie!
I just think that if it had a whole bunch of fights, and they all looked the same, this movie would be " a fight movie ", and I believe it's so much more.

i think what nativewarrior meant was in the furies fight there are furies doing absolutely nothing in the background, just standing there with bats ready when common sense would be to gang up on them. well gang fights are hard to do, and with what they were able to pull off i think they are fine although they could have atleast had the furies in the background running at swan when ajax walks in and smashes him in the gut, it would have looked more believable, but whatever.

Only regret for me is they should have made JAMES REMAR aka AJAX a fukin superstar action movie star. He had everything the 80's should have noticed. The guy can act - and act even tougher then the quite type Stephen Segal or the so dumb its charming accent Jean Claude van dam. Ajax (AND THE FURIES) for me made the movie fukin cool.
