Are there more Warriors?

I'm still confused as to whether or not there are more than nine Warriors.
I know there are numerous dicussions about this but maybe it can be cleared up. Cleon's opening speech is unclear to me because he says that "You have been chosen as delagates of over 120 delegates." I'm unsure because he could be referring to them being picked out of all the gangs to go the meeting instead of meaning that they were picked from the other Warriors members. If they're were more how come there is no others seen or heard of.

I'm sure the gang has more then 9 members as the Orphans have 30 or 40 members.

There are definitely more than 9 Warriors. At the beginning, Cleon says: ' Just remember this, out of a street family of 120, plus affiliates, you were chosen for this expedition, and that makes you special'. The 'street family' he's talking about is clearly his own gang, and the affiliates are late-joiners or members who have been adopted by the gang. I think Rembrandt is a late joiner (his character is in the book), this would explain why he appears to be much younger and, let's face it, wimpier than the rest of the gang. When Cleon says they've been 'chosen', he clearly doesn't mean out of all the gangs in the whole city, if that's what he meant the number would clock up to a helluva lot more than 120. And if a pathetic bunch of idiots like the Orphans have a gang of 30-40 members, then it stands to reason that the Warriors would have a lot more.
So there are over 120 Warriors, which means they're a pretty big gang, as big as, if not bigger than, the Riffs. So where were they when the Warriors returned? Good question. Cleon's equivalent in the book (Papa Arnold), makes it clear that he doesn't want his whole gang to see them off when they leave (only a few of their ladies do), so from this, we can assume that he also doesn't want them to be there when they return. Plus it is pretty early in the morning. But if the rest of the Warriors had listened to the radio at all that night, they would've known they were wanted. So maybe they sent out a search party looking for the others, who knows?
The real reason they're not in the movie though, is simple. They don't need to be. If they had all rushed out and killed the Rogues, there'd be nothing left for the Riffs. Plus it would've taken more time and more money to shoot - those vests are expensive you know. I think it's better that we don't see the rest of the gang, it adds a kind of mystery to it and allows us to use our imaginations. What are the rest of them like? How tough are they? When the remaining Warriors are standing under the pier at the end, you can see the name Spike written on the wall. I like to think Spike is Ajax's twin brother, who they couldn't bring along because he's even crazier than Ajax is.

Cyrus said there were over 200 gangs and 20,000 hardcore members. That is roughly 100 members per gang. But we all know that his math is a little cornfusing....

I think what confuses people about the number of members in The Warriors is because if you disregard the deleted scene at the beginning, in the movie it seems these Warriors are pretty familiar with each other and may be the only Warriors. There are small references that they have been together before (like they all know Vermin has "the big one" for instance, with Vermin knowing it compared to the other Warriors) and they speak to each other like they know each other and have "worked" together before.

Yea it does seem like they know each other very well. Cochise jokes on Rembrant a lot. Swan and Ajax have to have know each other to have that bad blood that they often show. Plus everyone knows that Ajax is always looking for trouble.
