Cowboy
Cowboy
I thought I'd start a post about Cowboy as he has had hardly been mentioned in the forum - probably as he was a weak Warrior and didn't say a great deal! I'm interested in what you think about him and what his role was in the gang.

He seemed a pretty loyal and chilled out member.
I'd say he had been a member of the gang for quite a while as he seems to have everyones respect.
I've tracked Tom Mckitterick who played him to Armherst or however you spell it.

Cowboy
I believe Cowboy was a fairly new member to the gang. It seemed like he could almost be a long standing member's younger brother. They toss his hat around, Swan and Ajax act brotherly towards him in Furies scene, etc.. The fact that he doesn't say much could also indicate a somewhat newer member. This would imply that his role in the gang is undetermined but he could of been chosen as one of the 9 delagates because of his relation to someone stronger in the gang.

Cowboy
Cowboy says in the graveyard: 'shit, I wish we was packed'. Like most cowboys, his weapon of choice is probably a gun, and he's probably a lot better with one than he is with his fists.

Cowboy
He seems like one of the longer standing members of the gang. He could be related to Ajax- Something about them seems that way.

I liked Cowboy, there was nothing wrong with him. [As ive seen a few people diss him << lol]
The one scene everyone seems to nit-pick at is the Furies scene. and fair enough, Cowboy did get taken out... after running, after being out of breathe. He didnt have as much stamina as Ajax... seems to be the only problem there.
From the moment they came outta the station, they all shit their pants. From Ajax's expression to Swan's "maybe we better take off" and rightfully so... looking at 9 clown looking dudes wiedling baseball bats.
The problem with the scene is that it's Ajax's scene [before he gets busted] and Cowboy is paired with Ajax. AJax was from the start clearly marked out as the "fighter" always looking to rumble and what not,. Ajax was a better fighter than Cowboy. I reckon if you replaced Cowboy with any of the other Warriors the outcome would most likely have been the same. The only reason Swan didnt get taken out when him and Snow came up from behind was because Swan aquired a bat of his own to defend with. Cowboy was unarmed.
Cowboy kicked ass in the Punk's fight. Rembrandt, Vermin, Snow and even Swan all took a hit or had the better got of them. Cowboy and Cochise are the only two you never see get hit during the fight.
So, I dont believe that Cowboy was a whimp at all. He just wasnt as aggresive as Ajax... but i dont think anyone was. Its just a shame most people seem to just remember he falling on his ass in the Furies fight. LoL.

Snowball is deffinatley the best fighter in the Punks fight. If you watch the scene very closly Snowball gets hit only once, while he breaks 2 bats over guys, and kicks someone through a stool.

I never singled out any Warrior saying they were the best fighter in the Punk's fight. I merely just pointed out that every took a hit (or several if your name is Swan) except Cochise and Cowboy.
Basically just coming to Cowboy's defense agaisnt the people who say he cant fight and/or that he's a whimp.

Cowboy
Cowboy was definitely a respected fighter. I just watched the deleted scene again and Cleon tells Cowboy to soldier the middle. They wouldn't have brought him if he was wimp. The other not so tough Warriors had easier assignments. Fox and Rembrandt for example.

I know a lot of you aren't too happy about going out on patrol. Just remember this. Out of a street family of 120 plus affiliates, you were chosen for this expedition and that makes you special!

I agree with you, I don't think cowboy is a wimp either.Amano wrote:I never singled out any Warrior saying they were the best fighter in the Punk's fight. I merely just pointed out that every took a hit (or several if your name is Swan) except Cochise and Cowboy.

In the "baseball furies chase" the fury after ajax has his bat/guard down and easily gets a kick'n from ajax.
On the other hand cowboy ran a little further than ajax and the fury after cowboy had his bat ready to crack his head in. (P.S. It was cowboy who was tired from running not ajax) Quote: I can't make it - cowboy.
Those cats didn't look to chicken sh*t to me.
