I dont know if you guys have discussed this yet about the sexuality of the Lizzies. It definately sounds like a reference to lesbians ( the lezzies). And not to draw on stereotypes here but a few of them do have certain manly qualities (unplucked eyebrows is one!!). Do others agree?

I would have to agree with you as well. Don't feel bad about what is obvious to the others. Remember the Warriors apparently didn't clue onto this bit of info at all.

If you were to try the search button, you would find a thread with pages in it with everyone's early discussions.

PS: FYI- I and alot of women don't pluck their eyebrows, and my hubby likes it that way! NOT a good indicator, and is NOT a good generalization to make either.

I don't really care. But I don't think they're 100%. I don't think their name means anything. It's close but I think it's a coincidence. What I love about this movie more than anything is how it makes no reference to race or gender. So they danced, so what, girls do that all the time. Now I can see the argument for the one who gets a chair broken over her face by Cochise. And maybe 3-4 others, but not all of them, at least give me the one who does most of the talking. Also, I always thought her line to Cochise about where the "dudes" were, wasn't all nonsense. In fact, I always hoped that after all the smoke had cleared, the guys could have gone back for a visit and brought Cowboy with them. -Feliz Navidad

Its possible,

I think the movie had alot of improvised names, scenes, and monologues.

Alot of the gangs were real, alot of the lines including the famous Luther line; "Warriors...Come out to play" was improvised.

I def think that Walter and Co. had a small intention of throwing things at his viewers.

The Name for the hispanic gang ; The Hurricanes had meaning too.

Cubans flooded to Florida in the 70's. Even though the actors werent cuban, it was seemingly fitting to name the gang after the coasts worst weather...A Hurricane.

interesting movie I tell ya!

Truth be told they never really struck me as lesbians. I know that in the game if you select them in rumble mode one of the lines they say is "you're not the kind of p***y we like" but I never thought of them as lesbians. The two dancing...meh, I've seen more action between girls dancing that are both completely straight. It's more than possible though, I must admit.
