I haven't seen the daytime prologue to this movie in a long time, so I could be wrong, but I swear Cleon assigns Snow the role of music man in the gang. I also seem to remember Snow walking up the boardwalk with a big ghetto-blaster in his hand. If this is the case, what happened to it?

Snow(ball) was assigned the boombox but obviously they would have found out via the radio that everyone was after them, plus they would probably have dropped it in the rush out of the park. I'm not too sure that they would have been playing music during the fight as they would have wanted to get the hell out of there!

Is it just me or does snow take a boombox with him on the train at the start of the movie?

I'm not sure Snow, but I always figured that there was a deleted scene showing the gang entering the meeting and Snowball having the box. I always assumed he brought it and left it at the conclave. Even if they did find out about the word from the radio they still would've had to get back to Coney.

It would figure that sinced they had never been to the Bronx before, they would want to carry a box for info. "*&^%$#@ Coney Island must be fifty to a hundred miles from here."

Having seen the scene where The Warriors board the very first train at the start of the movie again, I have to confirm that Snow does have a boombox that he takes with him on the train . The radio is in his right hand. It is a bit hard to see but I have spotted it numerous times.

Yeah there is a deleted scene of them entering the conclave but I haven't seen it because it's on the real live bunch website in real player format and I don't dig real player.

Yeah I also think he dropped it or forgot it.  I mean someone just got shot and people begin to run, the last thing in your mind is the radio.  Then again, the Turnbulls probably found it and that was the boombox they had when they were listening to "Nowhere To Run".  (watch that scene)
