Present Day Opinions

Hey guys. I'm new here and just wanted to share some thoughts.
I hadn't seen the film in forever. Sometime back in the late 80's
when I was rather young. And in that stage everything always
seems bigger and badder. The Warriors was one of those flicks
I saw a glimpse off and was forever eteched in my head. Along
with such flicks as, Monster Squad and Grease (Yes I like Grease.)
It wasn't until this past week that I finally got my hands on the
DVD. And for some reason, it wasn't as epic as it once was.
Don't get me wrong, I still love the movies, and will remain at
the top of my collection for many decades to come, but I just have
a few problems.
1. I'm not sure how many of you will agree, but one of the biggest
dissapointments for me seeing this movie again, was the fact
that it didn't seem "epic" enough. I mean in the sense that I belive
the story should have felt longer. It really didn't feel like that
traveled so far in one night.
2. Not enough gangs. This was my other problem. I really wish
they would have came across more gangs then what they did.
The scene with the Turnbulls was one of the scenes that stuck
out in my head when I saw the movie for the first time in over
10 years. But man could it have been longer?
I'm not sure how many of you have seen the film
Judgement Night, with Cuba and Emilo. That film really made
me feel like those guys had a lot of ground to cover. And
if that's the feel The Warriors had, it would have made
it so much better.
Well, there's my first long newbie post. Be nice guys.
