Considering the truce had been called off long ago...

...why is it that the Warriors had virtually ran from every gang they'd met throughout the film, but then when the biggest gang in the city comes to the beach in the final scene they don't run? It's not as though they knew the Riffs weren't after them, and every gang they'd come into contact with before that had tried to attack them so how were they so sure the Riffs weren't gonna do the same?

Where the frag would they run? Down the flat stretch of sand on an island, highly outnumbered by strong guys who are a lot less tired?

This was their turf, they couldn't run then. This really was the part where there was nowhere to hide.
* Insert awesome line from the Warriors here. *

Seriously, there was nowhere to go. I guess you could have went into the water and hoped for the best. BTW That moment when Masai raises his arm to create a path for the Warriors to go through, I always find that cool.

I agree. The riffs were on warriors turf, and i don't think it would be very cool to run away from intruders on your own turf. And the point about where to run, there is'nt much of a place to run when on the beach, maybe into a old building on the amusment park, but they chose not to.

the warriors didn't know that the riffs got word that the rogues did it, they just knew they were being blamed for cyrus's death by the riffs.
with that in mind, perhaps the warriors felt if they ran away, they'd only confirm that they were guilty of the crime plus they'd look like a bunch of pansies not to mention it would kill the last line of the movie......"you warriors are good....we're the best".

Actually, the last line of the movie goes like this.

Masai: "You Warriors are good. Real good."
Swan: "The best."
Masai: "The rest is ours."
Swan: *Nods*

But, you probably knew that and were just shortening it. Whatever, man. It's all good.

Back on topic, you don't run from a gang on your own turf. And what good would it do to run from The Riffs? They're the biggest gang in the city, and they had a ton of guys there anyways. They'd run, the Riffs would chase, and it'd never end. The Warriors were at the end of the line, and had nowhere left to run.

The Warriors I think didn't run because this was their turf they were not going to run from any gang.
