Couple of ‘location’ questions if anyone knows the answers.

Post by wotto »

Hi all

* Does anyone know the location of the scene where the Turnbull AC’s bus does the U turn and the Warriors run/ get chased under the rail line?

* In the back end of the film before the fight in the toilets, does anyone know if the location of the ramp where the dude on skates rolls down while following Swan , and if that actual location still exists today?

Apologies if I am being a bit of a punish with all the questions lately , it is just that we may not ever get to NY again and therefore I want to discover as many Warriors locations as possible for my NYC trip next April, as a typical ‘tourist’ I have loads of things to pack into the week but also want to squeeze a load of Warriors stuff in too.

I already know of all the ‘standard’ places like Coney Island , 72nd St Station, Firemans Memorial etc etc.

So sorry - I just discovered an older post by 9th Delegate that answers my questions ( I think )

* Union Square Subway is where the punk followed Swan......having never been to NY - is Union Square subway a large area OR if I am at the station will I no doubt just come across the exact filming location regardless ( as in the ramp ) ?

There is a day where I have to change trains at Union Square - so will I more thann likely see this location by default?

Google street view is a big help as well. If you have trouble finding the Ophans location in Queens, Search for Y and Y Barbers.

I joint run a facebook warriors fan page. I'll be doing a daily location feature at some point in the next few weeks; probably after christmas. Keep an eye on this page....

Without double checking my notes, I believe the graveyard, Turnbull bus chase and Nowhere to run scene are all in a few minutes walk of each other.

Thanks for plugging that FB page, theres some really good photos - some I have never seen.

I was talking to a friend at work about how having the movie open during daylight and showing The Warriors at the boardwalk might have been a better idea, especially if they show the scenes of Swan tossing the knife. That would have fit nicely at the end with Swan tossing the knife at the Rogues leader. You've got some pics of The Warriors on the boardwalk that show that.
What's the matter - goin' faggot?
