Cochise drunk in the train??

If you look closely at Cochise in the train after the chase from the Turnbull ACs, he seems to be drunk or after smoking some strong afghan......or both??? Just look at the way he wobbles around and his half-closed eyes and his speech.....he must be on something.......
I read on another fansite that Tom Waites, the actor for Fox allegedly quit the movie due to drug use on the set. You can see his stand-in during the "squashed by the subway" scene.
Did anyone else notice Cochises drunkedness/stonedness?

cochise wouldnt have been drunk otherwise why would they go through with filming the scene?

Just look at him and see. They probably kept on filming because they were ALL drunk. Look at that scene.

I just think that it is his nature. They dont look drunk to me.

I suppose he's just high on excitement. After all the just outrun a busfull of Turnbulls. Still looks a bit dodgy though..........

Cochise looked kind of tired in that scene. It could have been shot after a long day of filming, it could also be that he was feeling ill, but decided to film anyway.

Dude it was the seventies pretty much everyone was on something and if you weren't you were probably lucky.

He had that look a couple times in the movie. After they got away from the Lizzies and they were standing in the alley. And after they hook up with Snow and Cowboy in the subway and find out Swan is missing and Ajax is in jail.
I'd say its just part of his acting.....
