Just got "jumped in" and wanted show some respect.

I saw the Warriors for the first time on cable back in the early 80's. I was probably 7 or 8 years old, and had no business watching a "rated R" movie, especially by myself. I basically snuck peaks at the movie while my parents were preoccupied, keeping the volume low and switching the channel if I heard them entering the room. The sneak-a-peek method allowed me to catch the movie a couple times during its run on cable. The films danger and excitement, coupled with the hightened adrenaline from avoiding being caught by my parents left a mark on my young psyche that I've never shakin.

Now at 31, I've seen the movie countless times and I'm still diggin' it. It's great to have these characters immortilized in plastic and re-introduced to the masses via the upcoming video game. Regardless of how the remake turns out, the original's fanbase is sure to swell through 2006 - can't beat that with a bat!

Looking forward to climbing the ranks - freakin' Orphan... yeah right.

"when a Stranger Calls"...

Is that the one where the killer is in the house the whole time?

I wish I'd seen The Warriors in the theater - I'm always on the lookout for a screeing at local art-house theaters - nothing yet though.

A double-bill of The Warriors and When a Stranger Calls sounds perfect! Both films feature two of the scariest psychos captured on film.

Whatever happened to double-bills?

Movie theater owners are way too money hungry these days to offer double bills. :x

Yeah that is a great film. the late 70's produced all the best ones. horror movies these days are more like comedies.
