I am sure they could of found a warehouse.  Another thing is they should given gangs a special code to find their way to the meeting point, may like this they would of deviated the cops from the conclave, but then again, that would just kill the film.

Midnight Madness was good.  That's what I mean, they should of gotten clues until they reached the meeting point, kinda like 13 Tzameti.

thats a great point.  I mean after all it could have been held underground or something.  Who knows, perhaps there was no in door location tat could withstand that amount of soldiers.  Maybe metaphorically by Cyrus holding the meeting out in the open, he symbolized that "we are no longer going to be the shadows lurking in society, we are no longer the left over misfits, and no bodies that scavenge for what ever you can find.  We are now out in the open, and rule with an iron fist."  He's basically taking a chance by saying that they no longer have to hide in the pits of society, but can be re-born in the open.

Well, you know what Lion... yeah they maybe could of find a warehouse... maybe!!! But that gangs code theory is very good... and adam88's idea: -they shouldn't hide- is good only if they had used that special code!!!
I mean you can say "We don't hide" ok, but I think it's always better don't draw the attention... well at least 4 that night!!! Then, when they would have "attached" the City, yeah that was the right moment 4 exposing themselves!!!
Instead show your plans to your enemy, before doing something, is not so much strategic!!!

At this point I'd have another question, seen that they didn't hide and as we know they didn't use that "code"... why did they at least position a sorta boundary check team all around the park? I mean they could have immediately seen the Police and someone could "cry avoc"!!! 8)

They could of used something like:

Cleon knocking on door:

Knock! Knock!

Voice (from behind door): "What's the password?"

Swan: "New England clam chowder"

Door slides open

I mean, as I already posted I agree the "code" theory both in the open and at this point also in a hangout, but I think Cyrus had to think someone else (apart from luther) could betray him!!!
So what about a "Plan B"? I mean: spread the word "the conclave is in the park" and only when gang by gang arrive there (and the Riffs did still have the time, I mean before Police blitz) lead them to another place...  yeah a warehouse.
Well, it can seem hard (few minutes yeah), but they could have done it!!! If you think about that scene when The Warriors arrived there, all other gangs were already there... I mean The Warriors could have also found only (cause they were the last) a sorta special "Riffs guide team" leading them to the new conclave location!!! IMO!!!
So, if a traitor gave to the Police the "Plan A" info, the cops would have only wasted car gasoline!!! There weren't cell phones, 4 calling and changing the info!!! 8)

I don't know, I still don't get it.  Who's turf were they in anyways?

they should have had some look outs
im surprised the riffs, being as big as they are, didnt have look outs around, down the streets etc

bird calls, and hand signals like baseball being passed down blocks by just simple hand to eye...then passed to the next guy hand to eye signal is as old as dirt, ofton used in the drug trade when on the street.

my guess is, if they did this...would have made for a dull movie if nothin bad happend  :badgrin:

Yeah Kartoon that would of been the winning key 4 avoiding a Police blitz, but I don't think that way, the movie would of been dull... I mean after all the chaos, the real chaos, was because of luther!!!
Police blitz got the things worse, true, but IMO a sorta Riffs boundary check team all around the park (whichever turf it was in, and anyway I think it was in Van Cortland Rangers... yeah it's not sure but IMO it's the most plausible!!!) would of been a funny variation!!! 8)

Yeah I just believe we got to the point at issue... I mean, your watching is right... and it's another proof they could have noticed the Police (even without Riffs sentinels)!!!
So... it's the movie, and I'd say that if some of us remade The Warriors... we'll "CREATE" an at least 10 hours film!!! 8)
