I have to be honest on this one. I would probably be "soldier in the middle". I find it that in order to harness good skills, one should know first where they belong through learning expierences. I always believed that soldiering in the middle helps you to get inspiration from other possesions. Who knows by observing others you may learn a thing or to about how to survive in the "jungle". Its always good to be more of an accomplice rather than have a major position, because its hard to handle a big responsibility, and who knows, A soldier in the middle might learn a combintion of skills from fellow warriors by blending skills toghether. I find that you learn and accomplish more by being more of a ghost in the wind.
