A great choice of thread for my first post.
Well, it was on Purim (Israel's Halloween) and my brother dressed up like Ajax (the vest was a torned red T-shirt lol), i asked him who he's supposed to be and later that night he rented the movie for me. I watched it and got hooked in no time.

P.S- No one knew what my brother's costume is, sadly we have no scene here  :doubt:..

I was 14, over 6 months back now.
It started as a normal day I was walking around my house looking for something to do in the holidays which didnt involve sleeping. So I went and hired the game "The Warriors" as I heard mates talking about it one day. So saw the short clips in the game and thought to myself "o yeah, this movie would be good!" so I bought the dvd and now it sits in my dvd player for quick viewing  I can't believe how good a movie it is  :D

The first time I saw this movie, it was on a school day, and came on about 9:00pm. I just caught it, and became instantly hypnotized.  The aura and glow that compelled me to this movie was actually unreal.  It was just a regular day, and I was actually about to finish some work and go to sleep.  I always felt that this movie was my calling, because when I changed the channel It just started, its not like I missed 15 minutes or something.  The music, the time period, the meaning, and morals changed my life.  The loyalty and friendship, of a group of underdogs with different backgrounds, sent a special meaning of how our society works.  Its that feeling of survival in a mad world, that leaves us with a sensation and hope, that we can escape our surroundings, and alter our way of living.  Its the whole scenery of living in the jungle, and how one struggles from day to day, to make something out of their lives.  How can we push through obstacles together, and have a name for ourselves.  In a world that gives up on us, how can we pull through and find salvation.  Its that sense of peace, comfort, and relief thats says everything is going to be alright.  That why I love this movie.  We read in between the lines and realize, the sacrifices we have to overcome to have that moment of clarity.  This simply movie said it all.

I saw the movie during its original release in 1979 - I had just graduated high school.  It was showing at a drive in theater as a double feature with Animal House.  It was a terrific movie - what a great double feature - the drive in was wild that night.

I've been a fan ever since.  On Halloween, I dress as a Furies gang member every year.

I actually saw the movie because of the game.

I saw the commercials for the game and thought "Hey, this game looks really cool!" I wanted to play it, and my dad told me about the movie. So, I rented it.

And ya know what? I didn't really like the movie at first! I didn't get into it. But my dad wanted to watch it again (he hadn't seen it for a long time), so we sat down and watched it. The second time around, I loved it!

Got the game and I've been hooked on the game and the movie ever since.
