well, actually he says the warriors deserve it, not cyrus. all they say about cyrus is that he had an accident.

The radio dj is a good guess but i dont think it is. mainly because the things he hears had to be something different because he would have been listening to the radio on there whereabouts. also just after one of the rouges asks him if theyre set he replies were set alrite. which means he has made the illusion they dont know anything about it. my guess is it is one of his gang but he wants to make his own name and prove hes a real soldier and this is his chance

not sure if this has been posted since i havnt found it in the forum yet, but i think i finally peiced together who luther talks to on the phone. up until now, the two main guesses have been a riff, or maybe his girlfriend. i figured neither of these can be true because A. luther tells the caller about the death of cyrus, which a riff would already know. and B. it cant be afriend or girlfriend because its obviously someone luther cant trust enough to tell the truth to about killing cyrus. but whoever this person is, he/she gives luther info, like about the furies dropping the ball, and luther gives him/her info, like when he says cyrus had an "accident". so my best guess is that luther is talking to the radio dj. which makes sence because this way he can keep checking on the progress of the warriors and make sure that everyone keeps thinking it was the warriors, and not the rogues who killed cyrus.

okay, i'll keep the same reasons that i said it couldnt be a riff or his girlfriend. but i just thought of something else. what if it wasnt the dj? what if the luther was actually just warcheif and was talking the real leader of the rogues, hence the concern "take care of yourself". and maybe he lied about killing cyrus because the real leader (warlord) didnt give the order to kill him. he wouldnt want the riffs coming down on his gang. so luther went behind the the warlords back to kill cyrus and had to lie about.

My guess had always been that Luther wasn't the leader of the Rogues, just a sergent or perhaps second in command, and that he and his group were the most radical of The Rogues.

I'ts very possible that Luther is talking to the radio DJ during his first conversation because there he says what happened at the meeting and he blames The Warriors, it would be logical that he's telling the DJ so she can spread it and The Warriors can get wrecked/wasted.

I think it might be someone else during the later conversations though.

I don't think it was a crooked cop or the dj.  I think it was just someone Luther knew who was in the Riff network and had access to the latest news about the Warriors.  My best guess would be a member of another gang.  You'll notice Luther treated the guy with a good deal of respect, which he didn't seem to do with his own gang, so I don't think the person on the other end was another Rogue.
