so I pulled out my PS2 and ran it that way.

The beginning is an extremely awesome masterpiece of an intro. It's great how the The Warriors interact with each other, the cinematography, etc. it seemed out of this world and timeless.
Cyrus made a great speech and it was shocking seeing the chaos erupt after he goes down. That's hardcore how Ajax and the others broke through that wooden obstacle with their fists. And the graveyard was pretty eerie too.
Ouch, I thank the ones who allowed Cleon to have his moment, kicking ass, even if it was for a short while. Hmm the Riffs appear to study martial arts or something. That kid who hit Cleon seemed disciplined in some art. dam after seeing the deleted intro, I pity his girlfriend for being helpless to stop him. But there was no stopping Cleon from going, it's pretty sad.
the radio dj had a nasty mouth! lol! I focused entirely on her microphone as she talked, I just couldn't stand looking at her, lol!
that was intense when The Warriors were waiting for the first train. It felt so believable how they waited in the dark rather on the platform itself. that was very smart. and it was adrenaline pumping when they were being chased by the freakin Turnbull ACs. running from the bus, running up the stairs, jumping over obstacles, that was great how they all made it and the Turnbull ACs were left in the dust. haha!
but that was insane how a gang caused a fire to cut off their escape via train. The Orphans were hilarious. The leader was great. lol! man I hated Mercy for throwing more wood into the fire and almost causing a fight to break out. Swan was smart to bring along Fox for the talk. but I never imagined what happened afterwards, of Mercy following The Warriors walk away and then getting ambushed by them, then that's what triggered the Orphans to move into phase two (lol! what was that a shaving knife?). that was slick how The Warriors ripped a piece of her dress to prepare the Molotov Cocktail. then using the car as the major distraction. During that moment I forgot cars can blow up.lol!

yep that sure was interesting how she ended up with them. the separation that took place later on was pretty well thought out. That was great seeing Ajax kicking one of the cops down. so like it was Rembrant, Snow and Vermin, then it was Swan, Ajax, Cowboy and Cochise. Then Fox and Mercy were the third group. Poor Fox. I kinda doubt that train was an instant kill. although maybe the force was so great that it would first knock him out, then rip him apart. then again he wasnt hit by the front of the train, he was run over..... that's terrible.
Rembrant's team meeting the Lizzies. Wow they seem different from what the photos show. I mean like, its like The Warriors and everyone else in the movie. Actually seeing them in real-time kinda makes them look better.
Which is to say the DVD's image quality was razor sharp to me. It didnt look or seem fuzzy. Which made it look like you're seeing all this happen through a open window. lol!

Then it happened, enter The Furies. The music that started and played all the way after that was fantastic. Even more hardcore than the legendary music from Streets of Rage 2. The chase was great, as well as the way Swan used a tactic to get them from the rear when it's time. And finally seeing Ajax really kicking ass. Too bad Cowboy didnt have a chance to get a hit in, well he was against the leader at that point. And the leader looked very skilled with the bat. It was stylish how the leader was holding the bat, then when Ajax was getting close, he would extend the bat outward, sliding it along his palm. it was just really slick. Yup that battle was great. Got in some good punches, clubbing, knee strikes, a throw, etc.
but dam, then Ajax makes the mistake and gets busted. well he went down swinging. I kinda hoped he would be able to hit her, but she was smart enough to stay out of reach. sigh..... the road not taken..... oh well, I'm sure the upcoming videogame will let us use characters like Ajax and the others who didnt make it. and just have them kick as much ass as we want! sweet revenge from a parallel dimension!

So Swan goes off alone and Cochise and Cowboy end up being their own squad until they reunite with him much later. Now the part with the Lizzies was pretty crazy. I mean there was no nudity, but like the lesbians dancing and Vermin treating his pick as if it wasn't a movie and no one was watching, I can't imagine what my relatives would think if they saw it. I dunno it just felt like that part took forever to get into the action. But all in all that scene was funny cause of one of the girl's reaction when Vermin chose the other one. She said 'thanks a lot' or something. You could tell she was annoyed she wasn't good enough to win his interest. lol!
And then the truth is discovered and all hell breaks loose. these Warriors weren't lucky, the Lizzies just plain sucked lol! and good thing too. aaah it's all becoming hazy and I'm forgetting some details. But I think Snow or Vermin punched one of them in the face, and then Snow smashed a chair on one of the REALLY hot chicks with the knife (I think she was the hottest out of them all maybe. well yeah some looked awful. But she seemed...well I gotta check again but I at least liked her hair. lol!). man that was crazy! how many shots was that? like 3? 4? but anyways that was great. Nowadays many movies are too pansy to show a woman get brutually beaten. Not that I enjoy watching a woman get trashed. But if they wrongly try to hurt or kill people, the Lizzies deserve nothing less than the worst pain. All deserve equal rights. All deserve equal punishment.
Now the whole Swan+Mercy thing, that's a nice move with the bat Swan did on the cop who played as Billy from Predator. I wouldnt have guessed if I hadnt read about it here, but he DID sound just like he did in Predator. Poor cop, he was probably like "That's it. I'm joining the military". and thus Billy was born.

I liked Swan's interaction with Mercy. the matress line was funny. It's kinda sad how pathetic Mercy had become, but Swan looked like the kind of person that could change her life for the better. so that connection is probably what drew Mercy out of her space and into a new world.
Oh yeah and my reactions involving the Rogues is great. Luther is truly worthy of being a memorable villain. He's a cruel, heartless, cheap, wretched psycho who's evaded justice for too long. But he is clever and charismatic enough to keep his followers in line. While watching the movie, I kind of believed The Rogues were the ones the Lizzies are attached to (if the Lizzies weren't lying about their boyfriends in the Bronx). But I think the Lizzies were totally independent, although in the Riff's network.
It was great seeing Cochise and Cowboy reunite with Snow, Rembrant and Vermin.
And then my favorite part in the movie starts the fuse. Swan all alone, being cleverly followed by one of The Punks. It's eerie and EXTREMELY profound the whole way through. Then Mercy shows up and eventually reaches Swan and warns him of The Punks behind him. lol! I'm happy the movie doesnt play dumb and actually make it so that The Punks couldn't hear what she was telling Swan. once Swan delivers the OBVIOUS fact about the situation, it really makes the world feel even more real. Hello Mercy. They are like right over there. even whispering it wouldn't do any good. LOL!!!

And then the beautifull full reunion of Swan seeing his fellow Warriors come down the stairs, out of view from The Punks. that was perfect. despite the tight camera shots, I could tell the stairs and the bathroom were out of view when Swan signaled them to go in there. but then again, when The Punks followed Swan into the bathroom, why were they spread out as if they were expecting more than 2 to be inside? Rembrant already put his feet down, so wouldn't they all focus on that door?
But I tell ya, The Punks are really the most dangerous opponents out of all the gangs The Warriors fought. Well yeah the Riffs are greater numbers and possibly fighting skills too, but they dont count since all they did in the movie was gang up on Cleon and then the Rogues. The Riffs are in a whole different league altogether because they are the biggest gang in NY.
But anyway, The Punks were extremely bad. I mean the look from the skater punk was downright evil. But not even plain evil. He and his crew looked like they were obsessed in killing someone, anyone. There was no room for reason in their minds, no words needed to be said. They weren't interested in fancy moves, face paint, bold words or loud warcrys.
Compared to The Punks, the Lizzies the Furies and the Orphans were all childs play.
The explosion of a battle that followed is one for the history books.
I would have liked it to go on forever, lol! but then it would be unrealistic.
Everyone going all out at the sametime. fists, kicks, switchblade, bats, chains, destruction. Ajax missed what could've been the greatest brawl in his life. but I think the writers felt it was necessary this way, to show what the other Warriors can do in the most dangerous fight without needing Ajax to babysit. although The Punks were beaten, they did get several good hits in. I mean everyone got hit except I think Snow. Vermin was thrown into the mirrors. It was great all of The Warriors got to kick ass too. Rembrant showed his stuff. Cowboy saved Swan at one point. Cochise did some sweet hits. Snow did great too. Mercy did something useful for once. Swan did a great finisher sending one of them through a door and into the toilet.
That was brutal how the skater punk kicked so hard, that although he missed, he made a hole through one of the doors. These Punks weren't holding back at all. Outstanding fight. so much going on at times it pays to watch it again to see other details that happened in the fight.
That fight really tops countless other fights found in other movies. It looked real, lengthly, and downright intense. The Punks truly were worthy opponents. They pretty much kicked as much ass as The Warriors have. The Punks lost but they left their marks. Wow and that scene took 5 days to shoot? I'm glad they worked so hard to do it perfectly. it looked like they shot it in one day. I saw no inconsistencies during the fight or even throughout the movie. lol! I guess I wasn't paying attention to the bloopers. but that means the movie did a great job in convincing me.

and so they make it to C.I. That was cool how they were pulling apart pipes and stuff to use as weapons to fight The Rogues. I realize that Swan got the switchblade from the skate Punk. it must be. I doubt he found it in the train or something. lol. Luthers famous bottle clinking and quote. He was insane. lol. but Swan was really pushing his luck when he let Luther pull out his gun. not sure about his experience with throwing knives. but the way it perfectly jerked the gun into firing at anything but them must of been pure luck or fate or whatever. the beach and the water looked great. It was satisfying seeing Luther and his gang getting what they deserved. The Riffs must of definitely killed them. or at least Luther. ya know, I wonder how the videogame will solve the Rogues showdown.

I mean it wasn't a fight. Luther was about to shoot them and Swan stopped him. I hope the game's version of it has The Warriors and The Rogues have a huge brawl on the beach. and after you beat them, that's when the scene kicks in of Luther pulling out his gun and Swan throwing the knife.
Well anyways the movie is really really great. The movie's length is actually quite brilliant. it's long enough to be satisfying. yet short enough to be replayable again and again. I love how the credits don't fade to black, they show The Warriors walking all the way through.
some might think the ending is anticlimactic but I think it fits. as much as I would have liked to see The Warriors and The Rogues have a fight as great as The Punks or The Furies, it just didn't seem to fit Luther's character in getting his face dirty. he wanted to end it quick.
But I have one question, after Swan pulls the switchblade out of Luther's hand, what did he do to Luther's head? it looked like he was trying to cut his headband off or a piece of his hair? ah it's been like almost 2 hours since I watched it and it's a little hazy. I could go watch it again right now but I'll save it for tonight.
