ON topic though , I think Ajax is a more realistic  gang member, he acts and is more like true gang members, abnoxious, loud, cocky and looking for a fight. And of course hes not over rated. He took out half the Furies and his only downfall was his obsession with women (which isnt really a bad thing most of the time) lol Also , by challenging Swan I think he deserves credit. He had the guts to do so and went through with it. He definetly wasnt a coward.

It ain't no act, Baby Bear. To some people The Warriors IS a fantastic movie. Me included. To start a topic called 'Ajax Overrated?' and not expect to see some passionate, defiant posts is mental, especially here on the web's number one Warriors forum which just so happens to be full of Warriors nutjobs like myself.

Ajax makes the Warriors what it is, so to me and many others that 'puts him down in history as a legend' regardless of whether he's flipping off the Turnbulls, booting the odd cop down some stairs, chasing wool or 'beating down some Furies'.

You're right on that last point though. There ARE other movies that are better than the Warriors, but to the people who grew up with it, or the people who can relate to it, or the people who just plain LOVE this movie, it doesn't matter...

The Warriors is our favourite.

I think Baby Bear is just giving his thoughts here, I mean I think Ajax is kind of a little overated myself. Like he said he Flipped off the Turnbulls, He beat up a couple of furies, and that was it.

Now I'm not saying Ajax sucks or anything, because he's one of my favourite Characters. But other than that all he did was run and get arrested.

I don't think the movie would have been as great without Ajax.

But Snow had alot of fighting and great moments, and Swan to.

Ajax does have a mouth and without his fellow Warriors would probaly just be alot of talk.

But in my Opinion Ajax is Overated but he's also not.
