Im pretty sure its just to make hom stand out from the rest of the Crew, Show he is the boss.
I always though it had some sort of religious background though.

Re: Just what is that on Cleon's head?
I figure, it was something he tried, and it stuck with him. Maybe just a piece of fabric with a headband? That happens sometimes, with odd objects. For example, I have two pony-tail holders I keep on my right wrist 24-7. That's right, TWENTY-FOUR SEVEN. I do everything in them. I also have a black D-ring with a keyring and two Converse chains I wear clipped to my right belt loop. And I wear a puka-shell necklace. I wear them every day and it has gotten to be a fad out of habbit. I don't realize what I'm doing when I put them on, I just do.
It seemed to me that was what it was like with Cleon. Maybe it was a habbit he used when he was uncomfortable. Like in the deleted scene, things start to get tense with Lincoln, and he puts it on.
But then again, it could be as simpe as that's just his look.

dunno but its a rag
Re: Just what is that on Cleon's head?
In Sol Yurick's novel, the gang that the Warriors are based on (the Coney Island Dominators) have straw hats with car badges pinned on them (or something similar, it's been a while since I've read it) that symbolize who they are... I think that in the process of making the movie we now love, Walter Hill wanted to keep Sol's idea of the 'symbolic headpiece', and did so by creating Cleon's absolutely splendiverous... errr... rag.
What it is EXACTLY I have no idea, and I doubt Walter did either!

hey man watch your mouth alright... spell it wight and if you don't know, ASK! you said who cares, well i care. cause im a MUSLIM! that's how you spell it! look, im not trying to start a conflict, im just telling you...and everybody else here, thoughi might be the only muslim here, nobody insults it in anyway, and this is a strong warning. moderators, im just telling and warning, not starting a conflict so don't get me wrong..nativewarrior wrote: naw little mogasin native american leaders (in the past) wore a proud mane of eagle feathers around there head. EAST indians and muslems (who cares how its spelt) wear rags and beehive shaped rags on there head. Cochise has feathers in his bandanna and that just might be because he likes the toughness to survive of native americans or because he is part native.
anyway, i don't really think that he is a muslim. cause the headwear is more a arabs kinda stuff. because islam, the religion, originated from the saudi arabia, mecca to be exact, so they are more particular about their attire... but here in singapore, headwear considered like optional, but strongly encouraged..
also, this is my first post since coming back from malaysia and im running a fever. as sick as i am, i forced myself to post here, because i am dedicated(is that the correct word to use?) to the warriors and this forum...

Okay, this sort of thing drives me booloo, but I'll keep it simple... Of all the different types of people and religions, why should HE care how to spell YOUR specific one? Keep your 'strong warnings' and your religious views and opinions to YOURSELF. This is a WARRIORS related forum.sharker_93 wrote:hey man watch your mouth alright... spell it wight and if you don't know, ASK! you said who cares, well i care. cause im a MUSLIM! that's how you spell it! look, im not trying to start a conflict, im just telling you...and everybody else here, thoughi might be the only muslim here, nobody insults it in anyway, and this is a strong warning. moderators, im just telling and warning, not starting a conflict so don't get me wrong..nativewarrior wrote: naw little mogasin native american leaders (in the past) wore a proud mane of eagle feathers around there head. I thought racism and intolerance were not allowed in this forum. The original poster even after being corrected has gone out of his way to be inflammatory and derogatory towards others in this forum. Isn't that what the above poster is objecting about?LIPPY wrote:Okay, this sort of thing drives me booloo, but I'll keep it simple... Or is it OK to be intolerant of others, maybe blacks and jews as well?

Re: Just what is that on Cleon's head?
Cleon may wear a piece of cloth on his head but no one else in his gang disrespects him for it, in fact he's their war chief, so all of you haters out there back the **** off.
