Although Snow and Cowboy did have missing time, I believe that they used that time to contemplate on their journey, rather than get into a physical battle.  It was more of an emotional walk, and an emotional battle.  They probably were discussing this whole complex event just like on the train home.  While walking in that pitch black, dark abyss of hell we like to call the night, they became in touch with their own selves.  They each looked under that cold moon realizes what kind of lives they are leading.  Now no way am I trying to make this sound gay, but I mean this on a serious note.  The dark plays tricks on you, and in the dark you become face to face with your own personal demons.  Whatever problems Snow and Cowboy had in their lives the dark makes you reflect on that.  They both reflected on the type of men they are and the decisions they will make in the future.  When they finished their travels they walked out of the darkness as real men.  Notice how Cowboy fought better in the punks fight.  The same goes for all the warriors when they reached Coney Island in the morning.  So rather than just have another physical battle, Walter Hill wanted a more spiritual journey as well.  So thats what I think Snow and Cowboy went through, a simple stroll of paranoia turned into enlightenment.

adam88, you are my new favourite poster on this site. That was deep.

In regards to the topic, I don't really think much happened. If it did, you'd think they'd have mentioned it to the other guys at Union Square.

KillerMime wrote: I'd say they have a little scrap with a Riffs patrol.  Snow and Cowboy walk near the entrance to the station, and four Riffs appear out of nowhere.  The Riffs try going kung fu all over 'em, but Snow is too fast with his bat and Cowboy knocks out the last guy with a punch right across the jaw.

As they leave the four riffs on the street, Snow looks back and says "That was for cleon."
[word deleted]ing A! classic, nice idea!

I think the two of them should have bumped into a small league gang along the line of The Orphans, maybe The Yo-Yo's or The Zodiacs or something.
Then we could get to watch Snow and Cowboy waste some heads without it looking too far fetched. Two heavy members like them could waste 8 or 9 "wimps" (as Ajax would put it).
:D
