Roger Hill alive and well.

Post by Nick Michalak »

Just a matter of days ago, someone with the screenname grg2000 posted the following on the message board for Roger Hill at the IMDb:
Roger is my First Cousin. He is alive and well and living in New York City. I agree that he was a great actor. What the public does not understand is that there is a lot of politics involved in "Hollywood". Sometimes early in the career of an actor they are asked to play roles that are demeaning to themselves and to their race or people. At that point the actor has to decide whether or not they are willing to be exploited that way. Their decision may have a strong impact on their career. Nuff Said.
At least it's good to know he's still alive, despite his choice to leave the acting profession - at least where Hollywood is concerned. Too bad Dennis Gregory has been lost to us for nearly 12 years now. I just discovered he passed away, and it is a sad thing. He had some great screen presence and charisma - could've done very well in films had he persued the career further, same with Hill. Hopefully, Roger Hill can be contacted whenever Paramount begins production on the special edition DVD.
