It is incredible the huge number of goofs that this movie contains. Nevertheless, I don't give an rat's ass for that. It is still the greates movie of all time. Now to the subject of my message.
The last time I watched the movie, I noticed that at the park gathering with Cyrus, there are some scaffolds in the background. I think that one even serves for the lighting setting since the event takes place at night. Have any of you noticed this?

You're right, they are for the lighting. And if you look carefully you can also see the camera crane right smack in the middle. When the cops break up the enclave and everyone is running around like a bunch of hysterical hairdressers there is a wide angle shot of the entire scene which reveals a ton of filming equipment right there in the middle of everything. Guess it's one of those "don't worry, no one will notice" directorial choices.

No way! I have not noticed the filming equipment. I'll pay better attention the next time I watch the movie.JoeWalsh wrote:You're right, they are for the lighting. Ive posted this somewhere before, look to the right hand side of the screen just after cleon gets elbowed and the cops turn up, it goes back to a wide shot of all the gangs running. just behind the line of riffs, there is a camera man wearing a yellow t-shirt clearly visable. maybe a screen shot could be included in the bloopers section anyone?

As the Furies are running in the park they also run by an obvious movie tower light.

Holy Hedorah good blooper! I just checked it out, I definitely never spotted that one before!!PerFecShauN wrote:Ive posted this somewhere before, look to the right hand side of the screen just after cleon gets elbowed and the cops turn up, it goes back to a wide shot of all the gangs running. just behind the line of riffs, there is a camera man wearing a yellow t-shirt clearly visable. maybe a screen shot could be included in the bloopers section anyone?
Here's a blooper that I very rarely see mentioned, although maybe it was mentioned here before. As I'm sure most of yas know, when the vocal audio isn't strong enough in the film, the actors will do "post-dubbing," meaning they will repeat the same lines on the set in the recording studio.
Now when Mercy catches up with Swan at the 96th St. station, after her line of "Right, you said that before," she says "Now look, if you still wanna get to Union Square I can show you where to grab the train," and that line was done in post-dubbing.
However, the words "Now look" were added to the sentence by the actress in the recording studio, because when her character Mercy says the line on screen, her mouth doesn't move during "Now look" but is synced perfectly with the rest of the sentence!
It makes you wonder, why on Earth did she add the two words in there?? My guess is maybe the director told her to, realizing way afterward that saying "Now look..." sounded a lot better for the line than not. Interesting!
Big Cyrus. He was gonna run the whole city...what crap that was.

here's the camera man scene-

Yeah, I remember seeing this cameraman too. By the way, this picture also captures some scafolds on the upper left by the brick wall and some gang members trying to reach the other side of the wall. This are not the scaffolds I referred to earlier. I guess the more we look into bloopers, the more we'll find them. Nevertheless, it is still the best goddamn movie ever, no doubt about that! 8)warriorchick wrote:here's the camera man scene-

I remember watching the movie with closed caption on and discovering exactly what you are referring to. There are also some parts of the lines that are not completely said by the characters. In one instance, Chochise says something and it is attributed to Cleon when he is long gone!
