Rembrandt....completely useless?

Post by emissary »

That is true! Rembrandt saved Vermin and Cochise. And he may have prevented the Punks leader from inflicting Ajax like damage to the Warriors. Rembrandt gave his passion to the Warriors and cared about them so much. He did all he could.

He was there writer, as in the spray painter, who do you think tagged their spots or their turf?

Rembrant

I'm sure every gang had a writer who's job was to paint.
Just as Fox's was to scout and know the facts about other gangs.

Rembrant must have known other gang's tags too.

If I was going to be a Warrior I'd want to be a writer just like him.

Rembrandt wasn't useless he saved Vermin and Cochise. He also prevented the Punks leader to inflict any damage because he knocked the knief out of his hand and weakend him with the spray paint.

I LOVE Rembrandt...didn't see him as being useless at all. I think because he was the baby; he came off looking a bit weak. Whatever the case, He was smart NOT to fall under the Lizzes spell; if he would had, they wouldn't have come out of that situation alive.

He looks like he's about to cry during the meeting riot, he whines about being in a graveyard, doesn't like the Lizzies, gets socked by a Punk and stays down cowering.
I dunno, but I saw Vermin get thrown into a window and that dude still gets up. MERCY is biting fools and breaking off bottles.

I wonder how that little guy ever fit in with the warriors seeing how soft around the edges he is. It certainly isn't his toughness or great skill with grafitti...must be someone's little brother.

He can't be nobody's lil brother cuz he's Hispanic. He's there cuz he can "lay a mean mark."

Yeah Rembrandt's a sweetie pie but the boy can't fight....and like they guy said before me it looked like he was gonna cry....(awww no cries rembrandt...okat that's outta my system srry I had to do that)

The boy's still a Rookie. They only got him cuz he's the artist. If he wasn't they'd be all "Aint u suppose to be in class?" "Get lost Shrimp!" ...why do I picture Ajax saying that...? >.<

Rembrandt

Even though Rem looked a bit on the weak side, he had more heart than Cochise and Vermin. He was worried about the other Warriors while Cochise and Vermin didn't seemed to even think of the others, but just worry about gettin' in on with chicks. Even after he had his arm cut he still soldiered on. When they were being chased by the cops in the subway, again Cochise and Vermin didn't even bothered to wait for the rest of the Warriors, they were only interested in saving their own butts. Cochise showed the lack of loyalty even at the graveyard when asked if he had seen Cleon. His response was of someone who only cares about himself: "I was haulin' ass". I sure would hate to have someone like that in my gang. I rather have Rembrandt than Cochise.

That's a damn good point there LOTRC!!! There is no question that Rem was 100% loyal to The Warriors gang, and was damn near loyal to a fault during the film. I won't and can't argue that Rem was a tough guy, but when you think about it, that's not what he was "drafted" for with respect to the big conclave. He was there to mark the territories and to follow directions and that's exactly what he did. In fact, he went over and above the call of duty by being hypersensitive to traps like the Lizzies. There's no question that but for Rem's actions, Cochise & Vermin would have surely gotten wasted while at the Lizzies' hangout.

Don't get me wrong...Rem is not my favorite Warrior by any stretch of the imagination, but I have to give credit where credit is due and Rem deserves a little for his actions...

Peace out!!! :)

Clown Face Rembrandt Discussion

Post by Lion »

Well, check this out, Cochise could of stuck his neck out for Cleon. I as a soldier would of followed him, unless being told other wise by Cleon himself. Then I wouldn't even get on the sub if I saw my other mates weren't on, I would try to look for them, or just wait for them on the next stop and not have gone with the Lizzies.

Rembrandt, I am guessing, was a good subway map reader. Also being that he was hispanic, he could of help in translating with some hispanic gangs in case they ran across some. That is my theory.

Rembrandt....completely useless?

Post by Manson-Cryptorchild »

Rembrandt was SOOO NOT USELESS!! Not even close to being useless! he was the spraypainting guy, and he was just young, remember that!!
All the other Warriors were grown up men and they know how to whoop ass. Cleon probably only decided to have Rembrandt become part of The Warriors, so he could mark the spot....seriously, like who do you want to do that, Ajax? And he doesn't look like he's about to cry at the meeting riot, he looks worried, I would have been too!! I think it was very smart of him not to mess with the Lizzies, and he was more concerned about finding the rest of the gang, not making out with these girls. He could not fight with the Punks, because his arm was cut. It's totally understandable that you think Rembrandt was totally useless, but Fox, Vermin, and Cowboy were too!
