wouldn't it be cool if they did a special edition for the 25th anniversery if the disc had the film on one side and the sound track on the other

SPECIAL EDITION DVD

On a related note that's the next move by record companies to entice buyers and battle CD copying, pretty soon it's gonna be the norm to have the artist's CD on one side of the disk, and a DVD presentation on the other featuring the artist.

A few artists right now are going to have releases like that before this year is up, and soon it'll be all over the place.

Maybe the reverse will happen too - when a movie is released on DVD, the soundtrack, or at least some music from the movie, is on the other side.

It should be a 2 disc box. Have a really cool cover. The first disc should have the movie in it's entirety (all the scenes from tv included with the regular movie put together) and the opposite side the soundtrack. The second disc should have all special features on both sides. I would also like a booklet to come with it showing all the different gangs and stuff like that.

I've searched the web even including 25th Anniversary and still can't see anything. :(

Why the hell would it have the soundtrack? And if it did, it certainly wouldn't be anything as insane as including it as DVD-Audio on a second side (!) of the disc.

Anyway, there 's absolutely no point. A special edition needs the deleted scenes, documentaries, maybe commentaries. If you want the soundtrack, it can be bought in any CD store (at least here).

Being 2004 IS the 25th anniversary I think we would have seen a special edition by now. But often is the case that just a film is released on DVD followed by a bonus edition with all the good stuff several months or a year later. I think it'll happen.

Wasn't the original released on DVD just this year?
