Why didn't the Rogues help?

Post by Lion »

After they see Luther screaming in pain, I wonder why the rest of them didn't jumped in.  I figured this would of sparked a beat down.

Forget that, why didn't they run?  They were ALL dead.  You'd think someone would grab the gun and dash.

Well what could they make? They knew to be guilties and that even Riffs knew about that, they were 9 vs al least 30 pis.ed off cool dudes, and mainly they were coward as luther was... so IMO they understood that a quick dead would have been the best thing 4 them!!! GAME OVER!!! 8)

The reason why The Rogues did not jump in is because they obey their Warchief/Warlord's orders Luther never gave the command its basically like following a book of law exscept this is custom to each gang. Its like the scene with the Orphans Swan says "Fox come with me" or Baseball Furies scene Swan says"Snow with me" whatever the gang leader says the members has to follow the command otherwise they arnt fit for the gang let alone to be a future Warchief/Warlord. Its also the same with Sully (leader of the Orphans) when he snaps his fingers the rest of the members goes and does what needs to be done.

Yes The Rogues are wimps in general but they know when to go by the rules in a gang. Its like the scene where The Rogues are in the car creeping behind The Warriors Luther says "stay right on their ass" and they do that...you could ask the same question on that scene because Luther could of just rather handed the gun to the driver and start shoot or Luther could of done it or try to run The Warriors over with the car. Its all about keeping formation of the gang. So thats pretty much why you dont see The Rogues doing anything about Luther. They all knew they were going to be dead or severly beaten to the point of near death whichever.

Well its pretty simple, in a situation such as that "resistence is futile".  I mean the amount of Riffs that showed up, was practically an empire.  I mean Luther and his Rogues were nothing but trapped mice.  They had no where to go, and nothing they could do.  Plus being the type of cowards that they are, they didn't barther to go out swinging.  Death was looking at them right in their faces, and nothing could be done, but to pray and in Luthers case scream.

I just think that the Rogues relied so much on Luther's leadership and guidance, that once he was taken down they just fell apart and lost the will to carry on. They're not a big or strong outfit, and if they're anything like Cropsey, then the whole gang's just a bunch of paranoid, easily led yes men. Without Luther they'd have probably been weaker than the Orphans.

Well,if the leader of the gang is screaming like a child,I don't think the rest of the gang is much braver!

I like this thought,  you thought somebody from the Rogues would at least try to take out as many before he gets it.

Its true to what many have said...they were wimps...you can easily see it in their faces when facing the Warriors...however lets look to the beginning of the movie when luther blames the Warriors for Cyrus' murder...Luther charges at Cleon and instead gets punched square in the face then they all come charging in trying to do the same...so why didn't they do it this time? they knew that if the Warriors had force to get from the Bronx to Coney Island and outbeating the rest of the gangs that were after them they knew what was going for them if they try to even lift one finger against the Warriors...no matter if it were the Warriors or the Riffs...the Rogues would all end up getting wasted

Yeah i agree with Stevo2k6, they're a real cowardly gang, they thought they could frame the warriors and get away with it but even once they got caught and it was obviouse they shot Cyrus, they still claimed it was the warriors!
