Where were you when you first saw THE WARRIORS?
Re: Where were you when you first saw THE WARRIORS?
I was 12, in my house, the time 11.30pm. My parents didn't want I saw tv,so I lowered the volume. I was zapping when I saw the wonder wheel in the dark and the train arriving...
...when movie finished I understood it was-is a cult movie.Believe me, even if I was 12 I understood it.Well today, 20 years later and after Idontknowhowmanytimes I saw it, and after playing the game(X-box version) I simply love everything about The Warriors! 8) 8) 8)

Man I love the stories!!!
Its amazing that so many people feel the same way about this movie.
Its awesome to see so many like minded people. I found that there was a lot of life lessons in it.
The whole movie was very deep. I to have watched it more times than I can count and for some reason still love it. 8)

I was still a little kid when I saw it 1st time,I think I was 6-7 years old.It was on a telly in my living room back home in Croatia, and I remember I had a big problem with the subtitles, since I've only learned to read!
Of course,I didn't know a word of English then.

Re: Where were you when you first saw THE WARRIORS?
the first time i saw the warriors i must have been about 14. If i remember correctly(which i doubt as my memory's shot) it would have been a Friday or Saturday night about 10 or 11 o'clock, I had just got in from my usual "high jinx" with mates and switched the TV on to chill out before going to bed. i was flicking round the 4 channels (yes that's right 4 how the hell did we manage lol) when i came across it just starting, the next day i asked my mates if any of them had seen it and when they told me they hadn't I made sure we managed to rent a copy on VHS so they could also see this excellent film.
Stay Lucky, Peace Out.

When I first saw The Warriors I was I think 13. It is my dad's favorite movie and he waited untill I was old enough to watch it and I loved it. 7 years later it has become one of my favorite movies to.

I was also at home...Trying to find a good movie on the TV Guide Channel when I saw The Warriors was showing on SpikeTV...the movie sounded familiar as if I've seen it already sometime before and so I started to watch it and I loved it! I was 18 at the time...its never too late
it seems this topic has come up twice on the forum
It really is good to see that many people here can remember their first time watching the movie!

That really is why the film is so special to me. I'll be gutted that I won't be able to watch it 3 times a week when I go off to the Air Forceverax wrote:thats such a nice story, my oldest daughter is 16 nowKissTheRain wrote: I was ten and I was spending m usual sunday at my Dads place (He and My Mum got divorced when I was 4) our visits were never that awsome because he had NO IDEA what to say or do with me! Re: Where were you when you first saw THE WARRIORS?
When it was released in the theaters, I was only 9, so I didn't get to see it then. I think the first time I saw it I was 14-15 and it was on one of the cable movie channels. Then a couple of years later, we got a VCR and I rented it and watched it a couple of more times.
It was one of those movies I remember as a kid seeing the preview and telling myself I was going to watch that movie when I got old enough. 30 years later and I'm still seeing movies from my childhood for the first time.
