the first time i saw the warriors i must have been about 14. If i remember correctly(which i doubt as my memory's shot) it would have been a Friday or Saturday night about 10 or 11 o'clock, I had just got in from my usual "high jinx" with mates and switched the TV on to chill out before going to bed...

I think i would have to say the film as it was what introduced me to the Warriors, though I really do like the story in the book and have often wondered what the film would have been like if they had stuck closer to the original storyline.

In the extras on the ultimate DVD I think it is Walter Hill that said they had to find a way to stop the train and asked the authorities what would cause it to stop, and was told a fire would definitely stop the train therefore that's what was used. To be perfectly honest I think that there was enough done with the character's, to have tried to make other character's parts larger or to try and go into more detail about them would have taken away from the overall film and probably made it all seem a bit messy.
