Re: ???????????'s

Hi cyruszx7.  Welcome to the forum.  I'm 37 and saw the movie for the first time in 1980 on cable television.  When I was a kid, it was the action that kept me interested.  Later on, it was the story itself...nine guys wrongly blamed and eight of them have to fight their way home.  Today, it's the c...

Re: Walter Hill's Reflection

When I first say the reflection, I thought it was Swan and attributed it to just another blooper.  But after watching it over time again and again, I thought it had to be Walter Hill.  It reminded me of how Alfred Hitchcock would ocassionally appear in his films.

Re: wonder what made swan give mercy that flower

When he said "I hate seein' anything go to waste." He was talking about the flowers, and I think maybe their lives too. I'm really bad at explaining these kind of things, maybe adam88 can help you out.  ;) I think YOU nailed it trixter468.  Not long afterwards, he says "Maybe I'll just take off" an...

Re: Figures with flat abs

Thanks for your response, Lions.  I figured that's what it was but hoped I had something pretty unique.  Roughly how many instances of this have you seen?  I know you can't provide an exact number.  I've gathered during my time here that you possess a lot of knowledge about action figures.  Thanks a...

Figures with flat abs

I recently received a few sealed brawl edition figures in a mixed lot.  I noticed on Cleon and Cochise, their stomachs are flat.  There is no abdominal definition like on my other set of brawl figures.  Cochise's stomach is completely flat and Cleon has a defined crease down the middle of his stomac...

Re: Trading sealed action figures?

Thanks for the response.  I kind of gathered what you're stating just by the lack of responses to this topic and, just like you experienced, no on has contacted me either.  I'll probably go the ebay route eventually as well.  I'm going to hold off for a while. I noticed you had a red clean Fury whic...

Re: The Lizzies 'surprise'... Did YOU see it coming?

I don't remember what my initial reaction really was.  I was 10 years old when I first saw the movie in 1980.  I probably thought "yuck, girls."  As I got older, I thought about Vermin, and how he told Ajax that Ajax "has a one track mind," when referring to meeting some strange wool.  Now, here's V...

Re: Trading sealed action figures?

I know this topic has gone over a year without a response but I conducted a search and found what I wanted to discuss.  I want to know how people's experiences were when trading with fellow site members.  I will be interested in trading a few figures in approximately three weeks and wanted to put so...

A Unique Way To Be Remembered?

During the final scene, when the Rogues and Warriors meet on the beach, one member of the Rogues has the letters MB either tattooed or drawn on his left forearm.  At the end, I checked the credits and one of the Rogues cast members is named Mark Baltazar.  I haven't been able to confirm that this th...

Re: Little things you notice about/in the movie!

One thing I've always loved is the irony of the Orphans member standing on the roof of a building that has a green sign with the words GREETING CARDS in black and all caps.  We see the sign just after the first two Orphans are spotted on another rooftop.  The Orphans shirts are similar in color to t...

Re: Warriors Conclave '09

Just scrolling through the old topics and came across this one.  Thought I should bring it back to the top.  Growing up in New York, close to many of the sights in the movie, I had many opportunities to visit but never did.  Now that I live down south, and have been reacquainted with an old favorite...

Re: Furies.....Overrated?

Hey adam88.  I didn't interpret your response as a disagreement.  We have the right to, though  :)  I do appreciate and respect your response, as I do many of your posts here at the forum.  It's when I read something like this: Furies lovers can hate on me, but I'm just pointing something out. This ...

Z is for zoo, where MiddleMan07 belongs.  He obviously can't interact well with humans.

I agree with turnbull_badger.  It's hard to believe with over 700 posts the kid has nothing positive or interesting to add.

Re: Furies.....Overrated?

I still don't see how they are overrated.  Who has rated them?  When?  Where?  It's each person's interpretation as to how heavy the Furies were supposed to be.  I agree, they got embarrassed.  I stated in another topic that I believe their best moments were left on the cutting room floor.  But to s...
