Picking up a VHS is simple enough, but what I'm looking for is an old copy, as early as I can get. I've seen tapes from CIC and Paramount, with the kind of blue-wash art and the conclave art and was wondering what's what.

I hope you'll forgive my pessismism, but this movie- if it's ever made- is likely to follow the usual Hollywood formula. So it won't be great. I could look forward to it if it were being done my somebody fresh (remember Danny Boyle before he got a bit rich?), but studios are not taking chances anymo...
